I also said the same. I always and still do prefer Fayes single.

Steps - General Discussion
Funnily enough it was also released the same week as Russell and Faye (which I might’ve already known but forgotten about!) Can’t say I really cared for the Faye single, but I did buy DJ!

Steps - General Discussion
I agree, in fact I think All Out Of Love could've been a single if Steps did another album after Gold instead of splitting up. Though I think I've said that before.
-
Steps - General Discussion
Ya it was never as good as steps songs for me all out of love should have been their first single.
-
Steps - General Discussion
I liked it at the time but didn’t love it. It felt very Steps lite, which to be honest it probably was. I can appreciate it now more now though.

Steps - General Discussion
DJ by H and Claire is 24 years old this week. Its a song that never fully lived to to what i was hoping at the time.

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
Give one of Faye’s solos a try out! Since You Took Your Love Away especially
-
Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
I agree. Obviously I haven’t seen it so I could be way off but I feel like Back To You and maybe This Heart Will Love Again from Step One would work. As might Happy Go Lucky from Buzz.

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
They definitely ought to do that. Or film it if there are no further runs planned. The only thing I thought could have perhaps been interesting is more relevant album tracks included, a bit like Mamma Mia had several in there that fit the plot like Our Last Summer and Slipping Through My Fingers. Something like Happy could have fit in very nicely. I think there's more scope to get away with deeper cuts in jukebox musicals, where people want to take in lyrics as part of the overall story narrative rather than slinking out in a concert to the toilet/bar when they hear a song that they don't know well. Also, When I Said Goodbye would have fit from the discarded singles, it's interesting that the only single exclusions were some of their lesser regarded hits, yet some of these songs would have fit the narrative better and sound more 'musical' than some that felt shoehorned in a bit.

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
They should sell virtual tickets, so people outside the UK can see it! Ok, I just want to be able to see it after missing out in August last year.
-
Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
So glad you enjoyed it! Really hope it gets a longer run after this tour is done. Such a beautiful show

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
Yeah, poor Paradise Lost, would have given Buzz a boost in sales too surely! I'm debating whether to see this again when it comes to Leeds, I really enjoyed it but Melanie C is currently soaking up all my available funds 😂

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
Agreed, I'm glad they've harnessed the former as the lost classic it is. The singles from Buzz were all strong but it could have made a great summer single in 2001. Maybe Stomp (September 2000), It's The Way You Make Me Feel (Jan 2001), Here and Now (April 2001), Paradise Lost/You'll Be Sorry (July 2001) would have worked.

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
Paradise Lost and Neon Blue deserve any little plug at all that they can get, both classic Steps for me.

Here and Now (The Steps Musical)
I finally saw this in Leicester at the weekend. Such a lovely show, great fun and many of the songs fit in so naturally in a musical environment (not you 5,6,7,8). After The Love Has Gone and Heartbeat felt like they were always meant to be in a musical. The cast were so good, and the set popped so well. Lots of Steps references in there too to please the fans, 'Pasta A La Clara' Paradise Lost getting its little moment too <3 Loved how well Neon Blue was used, that song is SO good and uplifting.

Would you mind another GH?
Its not something i want but if they go a GH route that would be the best of a bad situation. One thing i dont want is a re imagined greatest hits as usually i find them a huge let down.
-
Would you mind another GH?
I hope they don’t do that. I couldn’t see it getting in the top 5 either.
-
Would you mind another GH?
I really cant see them going that route as they have released nothing new since the last one, unless they go with a 1 cd best of type release and add 3-4 new songs to make it appealing for fans.

Oh I love the BBF video, it's really cheesy but so fun and feels so 90's.
-
Would you mind another GH?
I’m afraid they are used to their GH’s succes and might release another one..so maybe we will get another one next year?

My Top 25 Steps Songs [2026 edition] Full list!
1. Better best forgotten Lovely Steps classic. The only letdown is the video actually (though Faye looks great imo). 2. Deeper shade of blue Great track that aged very well! And Lee in the video, yum ❤️ 3. Neon blue A new classic! Such an uplifting anthem that deserved more if you ask me. 4. One for sorrow 5. Something in your eyes Yes, love this one as well. 6. Say you’ll be mine Not a big fan, not a hater. Those outfits when they are dancing though 7. It’s the way you make me feel 8. Back to you Lovely album track. Happy to see it in here. 9. Scared of the dark 10. A hundred years of winter Not bad actually. I just don’t like the video. At all.. 11. Love u more I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with one. All because a Dutch dj released an hardcore version that makes this one a bit cheesy for me sometimes. 12. What the future holds 13. Paradise lost 14. Last thing on my mind 15. Stomp 16. Wasted tears 17. Story of a heart Nice, though not their best for me. And another video that I don’t enjoy. 18. Here and now 19. Never get over you Lovely Lisa track ❤️ 20. Tragedy 21. Living in a lie Great to see this one charting as well. 22. Summer of love Should’ve been a hit outside the UK. 23. Take me for a ride This one gets a lot of slack. I actually enjoy it, especially the 80’s vibe. 24. To the one 25. Why Actually the only song I don’t enjoy in this countdown.. Great chart overall @Spiceboy ❤️

While Stomp is far far too low you have a very very strong top 3.
