About This Club

That's that me espresso... work late and discuss Sabrina's latest single Manchild, new album Man's Best Friend and all of her other endeavours!
  1. What's new in this club
  2. I remember stumbling upon Can't Blame a Girl for Trying when it came out, and I gave it a few plays. On Purpose was the first song I really loved though, and I saw her live in 2017 supporting The Vamps! Was really into Thumbs, Paris and Almost Love before I drifted a little from her music until Skin came out, and then until Nonsense had its chart moment. I saw her acting in Clouds in the interim though, and that's one of my favourite movies plus the title track of the film has a special place in my heart.
  3. A huge week for albums, normally easily in the top 10. Would've been 6th last week i think
  4. DAMN. Not only is it out of the top 5 this week, it is also out of the top 10.
  5. Damn album streams being double counted to greatest hits and original albums 😢
  6. All because of Oasis's reunion tour impacting the albums chart.
  7. Sad day. Obligatory gif when a streak ends
  8. After 46 consecutive weeks in the UK Top 5 albums, "Short n' Sweet" is now out of the top 5 for the very first time. @EmailsICantChase
  9. @Julian_ has a guesstimate of roughly 740k as of this week
  10. Does anyone know how many units the album has sold so far?
  11. I’m glad feather and nonsense were decent hits but I wish this album had more success, it’s her best album for sure imo! Such a perfect pop record
  12. That's valid, honestly a pretty common opinion, idk if its the most popular one, but theres a lot of people who would say the same thing. For me, I think eics drags a little bit in the middle and that makes the difference. After because I liked a boy, I just think "we're back to talking about this? I thought we dealt with it in tornado warnings and read your mind" that doesnt go away til Nonsense
  13. I've pre-ordered the deluxe vinyl. 3 years on and the album still sounds great. I don't think the highs are as high as on 'Short n' Sweet' but I think it's a better album overall.
  14. I'd heard of her before last year and had some friends who were fans. I remember watching a bunch of her videos back in 2023 but fully became a fan last year and both EICS and SNS were in my top listened to albums last year. Hopefully MBF will be just as good!
  15. Oooh exciting. The deluxe tracks are great so it'll be nice to have them on vinyl also!
  16. I think itll either be August 1st before she does lollapalooza, or on album release, whatever the plan was will continue to be. Thats not too crazy of a drop, not one to panic release something for.
  17. To celebrate the 3rd anniversary, they just released pre-orders for eics fwd on her website, the first time fwd has gotten physical copies outside of Japan Link
  18. Already down to #11 in the US - wonder when the next single will be released
  19. One thing I've loved since she's joined Island is how diverse her album is with sounds. It's all within pop (maybe except for slim pickins) but she brings in disco and r&b and country and some singer-songwritery type sounds that make emails i cant send and short n sweet both feel like a journey. It feels like genre is another tool for her to tell her story, not just the medium to which the story is told, which i think is really cool. I always like her with those sounds but i'd love to see her do something like On My Way again, I thought her voice held up really well to that kind of production. Is there anything youd like to hear in man's best friend?
  20. That was just a crazy time from her starting to get noticed through Taylor to feather finally feeling like she was getting chart success and then espresso just smashing through. I remember there was like a month where it went from only music spaces knowing who she was to every single person it felt like knowing who she is.
  21. I think one of Thumbs or On purpose was mine but it was through Taylor I began to play closer attention to her on the whole! I remember having a feeling she was going to get a real breakthrough from that point but didn’t expect it to be quite as huge as what she’s achieved from Espresso onwards!
  22. Thumbs - which was almost 9 years ago.
  23. It was Why, but Espresso is when I became a big fan.
  24. I really like it i hope we can get this cover for the cd, i am holding off pre ordering until I get the non standard version.
