Posted September 15, 200915 yr Not the sort of headlines they need tbh, but I gues they are doing everything they can to keep name in press now at release time. Three guesses who said "We're glad to see the back of Girls Aloud." Biz session coming up which is something too look forward to! Saturdays get nasty THE SATURDAYS have taken a pop at their girl band rivals - saying they're better singers than THE SUGABABES and glad to see the back of GIRLS ALOUD. Up until now ROCHELLE WISEMAN, FRANKIE SANDFORD, MOLLIE KING, VANESSA WHITE and UNA HEALY have projected a sweet and innocent image. But now they reckon it's time to get nasty in their bid to take over as the UK's No1 female group. With Girls Aloud taking a year long break and Sugababes having problems, they have a good chance too. Rochelle said: "We're ready to pounce. "We're glad to see the back of Girls Aloud. "We know what we can do and we're ready to take advantage of their absence." Frankie continued: "All of Girls Aloud will do well individually but our new album shows how much we have improved. We are a much better all round package now." "We're fitter, better dancers and our voices are much better," quipped Mollie. Una added: "We are definitely aiming to be the best girl band around." "There is no one else around anyway!" added Rochelle. When asked if that included fellow group Sugababes, Una said: "Yes, we're better than them." And you wouldn't bet against them succeeding in their mission after a brilliant set - including new single Forever Is Over - at London's Proud Gallery on Monday night. Chatting backstage at the launch of Samsung's new Genio Touch phone, they also laid into their rivals by saying they never argue. Mollie proclaimed: "You might expect it with a group of girls but there is no bitchiness with us." She continued: "If anyone in the group was doing that sort of thing we would address it immediately." Una chipped in: "We have the right mix. We try not to spend all our time together as we know it would get a bit more tense. "We've never lived together but I think that is a really good thing." Vanessa reckons the band's chances of succeeding are even more now they are all settled down with their respective boyfriends. There's bad news for guys everywhere as, with the exception of Mollie, all the girls are living with their partners and playing happy families with their pet DOGS. Vanessa added: "Girls Aloud were all single for a long time whereas we're all taken and that keeps us focused. "All our boyfriends hang out together. They understand we want to succeed and keep out of the way." Frankie - who has been with MCFLY star DOUGIE POYNTER for a year - added: "Dougie and I are like a boring couple. We're very settled with our dogs. "It's nice to come home and give them a cuddle - especially if Dougie is away." Una - girlfriend of Rugby Union ace BEN FODEN - added: "Ben and I share dog duty. We've just bought a new puppy and it's difficult to leave him." Rochelle continued: "I've just bought a house in London with my fella. We're all very settled but that means no distractions. It will put us in good stead." When questioned if Dougie is the one, Frankie said: "I do hope so. I don't wanna scare him off though." Una chipped in: "They are so sweet together." The girls are coming into The Sun HQ next week to perform a Biz Session and say they have a real surprise in store for fans. Mollie said: "We can't wait to come in for a Biz Session. "Hopefully we will surprise a few people." I can't wait. New single Forever Is Over is out on October 5. The untitled album follows on October 12.
September 15, 200915 yr Author Oh almost as if they saw the thread :heehee: unahealy Please don't believe anything you read about us putting down GA or Sugababes its not true! We would never do that xRochelleTheSats Girls Aloud and Sugababes are role models to us! We would never say those things..xxx MollieTheSats Girls Aloud gave us our big chance & I look up to them SO much! They are such an inspiration & I would never have a bad word to say abt them! Out in force to deny this one!
September 15, 200915 yr Author Well it was The Sun so perhaps their imagination but it's all come from the Samsung gig last night and tbh when direct quotes like that are used I'd be inclined to believe it. Plus we all know what Rochelle's ego and mouth are like.
September 16, 200915 yr Sometimes you read articles where the headlines suggest bitching about other artists/celebs and then you actually read it and the quotes from the band aren't actually that bad, it's all exaggerated. However this is pretty direct and all the bitching has come from quotes from the girls. Not a good move at all if they really said it.
September 16, 200915 yr Rochelle is mouthy, but I don't believe any of the other girls would say that. Especially Una. They're friendly with Girls Aloud, so if they had said that, it would probably have been tongue in cheek and they've written from that. What a load of BS.
September 16, 200915 yr The Sun 'reporting' complete $h!te as always. No one with an IQ over 50 buys that newspaper anyway.
September 16, 200915 yr Author Anyone with an IQ over 50 would not waste cash and read it online :kink: Well for now...subscription fees are coming lol.
