For some crazy reason she performed Gypsy on Paul O'Grady and not Did It Again. WHAT THE FUCK???

 

I have this image in my head of Amanda Ghost forcing Shakira release Gypsy because she wrote it and is obviously in love with it, even though Men In This Town is the obvious choice for a european single.

180 on iTunes - actually climbing pretty fast considering it's only been on the TV a few times.

if its a battle between gypsy and men in this town, then MITT wins easily, it is getting better response/reviews by the music critics and by fans/non fans. gypsy as 3rd single will slow down the era, she needs momentum with an energetic fresh sounding track, they have to believe in ths track!!

 

and what if Give It Up To Me is 4th instead of MITT. MITT is getting squeezed out its already on tender hooks, its just like Migrate all over again, what a tragedy that was, just awful its too painful to think about that the f*** ups in that mariah era :cry:

I think Gypsy is probably Shakira's favourite and to be honest I don't mind her performing it on Paul O'Grady. Did It Again is going to get the exposure it needs on X Factor so why not perform a different track now? The more songs the public hear the more chance the album has of selling.

She came across really good on Po'G, and gyspsy was amazing :wub:

I really like this now, prefer it so much more than She Wolf. I like the organic-electro vibe it has.

#40 on iTunes now, having been sat at #104 earlier today! It doesn't look like it's about to smash or anything but that's still one hell of a rise.

Yeah, she was pretty good on X Factor. I think that little compilation they showed before she performed was the best promo she could've had, WW and UYC are all back in the iTunes top 200. Hopefully she'll start getting decent video play now and the song will sneak into the top 10 on iTunes. I think this will really help the album as well, it's already climbing quickly on iTunes.

The performance was just okay. She looked good and when she played the drums at the end it was quite cool. I'm really hoping the song will grow still.

I was looking forward to her X Factor performance for weeks and i was overly disappointed! She didn’t twist her hair, or wear the did it again outfit =[ she kinda just stood on the stage.. half arsed.. didn't put her normal performance in to it? then did the good drum bit at the end... i was very let down! Wonder why she didn't consider X Factor to be the huge opportunity that it is? Maybe she just doesn't care that much about one market when she is released in hundreds all over the world? Such a letdown performance =[ The one time the UK had to take note of her too! and it said 3 number ones? She only has had 2 in the UK? They could have bigged her up more, like mentioning how huge her tours are worldwide/ her foundation/ how big la tortura was... wasn't it the biggest selling Spanish single ever or something stupid like that? haha =]

Well I think the performance was recorded a while ago, hence the not twisted hair.

 

She only really dances on the "eh eh" bits and they kept zooming out at those bits which was really annoying. I thought she might have done the EMA version with more dancers...that would've been more appropriate.
