Are you serious?!

I completely rate this, it could be my favourite Britney single ever!

Need a full CDQ leak now!

I prefer Outrageous to this ATM, and that's SAYING something. The verses are good, the chorus is annoying.

I don't know what to think of it  its nothing amazing really, prefer If U Seek Amy by far, might be a grower?

Let's hope so.

I'm dissapointed in Max Martin ALOT. That cheap rap synth is already annoying me.

She is catchy, the production is so f***ing cheap. Least favorite Britney single since... ever.

Ugh.

Totally. I dont know what to think after an hour of listening.

It's just nothing special. After IUSA this sort of 'attempting to be controversial song' just fails.

It is possible to make AMAZING pop music and it not revolve around sex (Gimme More, Piece Of Me, Toxic, BOMT)

How is "Gimme More" not about sex?...

Gimme More is about everybody wanting more from her, when it comes to her career, her personal life, and even the bedroom perhaps.

But it doesn't revolve around sex.

On tenth listen I hate it more then the first listen. This has never happened with a Britney song.

Anyways, I'll stop discussing it now and ruining it for people who love it.

She can't please everyone Tyler. I like it personally, and I think it blows "If U Seek Amy" right out of the water, which always sounded dated production wise to me. I can't see how the production of "3" sounds cheap, and I think it's unfair to say that when there is no CDQ of the song yet.

I'm not gonna defend her or try to make you like it because it's up to you at the end of the day but for me, it's the best single she's had in a loooong time.

You don't have to defend her I still LOVE her. But her new single sucks and is repetitive. Just a difference in opinion.

But when one of her biggest fans don't like it...

Wow, if there was ever a song to mark Britney’s 10 years of ruling the pop scene than this is it. The club-heavy ode to group sex that is “3″ contains everything that makes Britney, Britney. It’s a perfect pure pop record!

The beat is a certified dancefloor filler, it’s a relentless and doesn’t stop, becoming more intense as the song picks up steam until it climaxes like a musical orgasm. The way it picks-up and stops, then changes tempo is amazing. The hook is insanely infectious, and actually rivals the catchiness of “Oh baby baby” and “Gimme gimme, gimme gimme”

The lyrics are classic Britney; they’re flirty, sexy, provocative, tongue-in-cheek, and full of the cheeky faux-innocence we’ve come to expect from the girl who once tried to convince us that she was a ‘virgin’.

Vocally Spears comes across quite similar to “Mannequin” from her Circus album, with her voice being fed through autotune to the point where she sounds like a singing fembot crossed with a blow up a doll. What Britney does brilliantly though (and has done her whole career) is her ability to add her unique personality to the song.

Despite being heavily produced Britney never lets the song swallow her and she lets us know that she’s the one in charge. She also shows us why she’s one of the most successful female artists of all time by delivering yet another flawless anthem, maintaining a consistency and quality in her music that’s rarely seen in the genre.

Some people may argue that they wanted a more urban Britney this time around, but I think it was important that this record be completely pop. It’s how she started so it only makes sense that it should be how she celebrates her 10 year anniversary and new greatest hits compilation. Brilliant!

:yahoo:

I like it on first (and second) listen.

The "1, 2, 3 - Peter, Paul and Mary" is probably one of the best lines ever in pop music history. That's the reason why I clicked with the song in the first place.

The middle 8 is totally meh though.

Will this be Britney's first #1 since Everytime in the UK?
