EPIC cover!

Edited by Bloc Pavvii

that is possibly the $h!ttist album cover i have ever seen.

What on earth is a thread on Stereo-fukkin'-phonics doing in "Metal/Punk"......

We can let Muse in, but Stereophonics??? NO WAY..... Who's gonna turn up next, The Kooks....?

Yeah, right........

Really...? I mean, I must've missed the album that Stereophonics did that was even remotely as good as "The Holy Bible" (Manic Street Preachers) or "Fuzzy Logic" (Super Furry Animals).....

tbh i felt uneasy when i saw a stereophonics thread in this forum, so i went to wikipedia and it said they were 'rock' but then went on to include 'alt rock', 'britpop' and 'indie rock'

MMOOVVEEDD.

Yeah, Wikipedia and their pretty hopeless classifications..... They're hardly "Alt Rock" either.... Basically, I'd call Stereophonics an "MOR Pop/Rock" (something pretty similar to Bon Jovi or Status Quo truth be told) or "Britpop" band, like Oasis or Ocean Colour Scene... It aint Metal/Punk/Alt.....

i used to base the genre tagging of all my artists in my library due to what they were on wikipedia, (because everything i seem to download seems to be mega inaccurate with its genre tagging), but i got so sick of retagging everything i stopped, but i have OCD when it comes to tagging, so i ended just setting it to not show genre. lol :(

Have to agree with this. Looks so bloody amateurish.

It's like some six year old with Photoshop attempting a Pink Floyd-style albums cover.....

I know most people don't like them but does anyone have their new album? I'm loving it at the moment, possibly their best since their debut...

I think it's pretty awful. Such a letdown. I love their first 5 albums, even 'Pull The Pin' is better than this

'Innocent' is probably my favourite single of theirs for a while. Certainly the best since Superman. They've gone downhill a bit I guess (though tbh the 2001-3 period had some stinkers amongst the good songs, whereas 2005 was damn good) but didn't deserve to flop as badly with this album.

OK, I undertsand the hate for the band completely - and Kelly Jones is a confirmed total cockhead (his Dad used to sing round the local workingmen's clubs here doing Tom Jones covers - he did a storming Delilah by all accounts  - and is a mate of my cousins).... but this is a good single - easily their finest since their debut.

And as for the album cover - it's a good 'un, not understanding the hate for it one bit. If you're looking for seriously appalling design, look no further than the latest Muse album which is possibly, next to Madonna's 'Hard Candy' THE singularly most ugly album cover this decade. Shame because I rather like the album.

Its a disappointing album overall, they seemed to have just lost their way completly with this album, im sure they will comeback with a much better album next time.
