April 11, 201015 yr Author Full thing premiere tomorow, and its grown on me doesnt sound like a hit but sounds good.
April 12, 201015 yr I know she is, this is just so same old same old. How many times has she used Ludacris now as well?
April 12, 201015 yr From the clip this seems like another mid-tempo? Agh, out of the previous mid-tempo singles she's released, only 'Promise' had decent success and 'Love Sex Magic' was the first to do anything substantial chart-wise from her Fantasy Ride singles. Don't get me wrong, 'Go Girl' and 'Never Ever' weren't bad songs and I preferred them both to LSM, but unless the full version of 'Ride' is a quick grower then I don't see it doing very well, like GG and NE.
April 12, 201015 yr Author Heh might be the only one but I'm really liking the clip No i like it too, doesnt sound like a big hit but I cant stop listening now. I'm suprised how negative everyone is about this it has more potential than Go Girl and Never Ever did...I loved NE but it wasn't instant at all.
April 14, 201015 yr Author Ride has leaked and its good just not single worthy. Not much of a hook to it :(.
April 14, 201015 yr Ride is utter crap. I really have no idea why she's still peddling this tired shit.
April 14, 201015 yr Ride is utter crap. I really have no idea why she's still peddling this tired shit. quite. time after time when it fails. has she learnt nothing from 'go girl' etc?! you have to wonder sometimes whether some people even deserve a recording contract/chance after chance...
April 14, 201015 yr Hot, hot, hot! Great track, but I don't think it'll be a crossover hit, but I'm guessing that's not what they were hoping for releasing this first. I do, however, think this will be a success at it's intended format (Urban) which is really all she needs. Can't see this doing much in the UK, that's for sure.
April 14, 201015 yr Is an urban hit 'all she needs'? Never Ever was an urban hit and it didn't sell any albums whatsoever. Monica getting a successful album off the back of an urban hit (which by the way was a much stronger song than this - it actually has a chorus for starters) was more down to the reality show than anything (just to employ a relevant recent example!). I actually think Ciara should do a show to try and salvage her career. Girl needs to really put some effort into the music though too. This is The-Dream on yawnsome autopilot.

It's more "Ciara" than "Never Ever" was. It's sensual and has a slick melody and I feel it caters to her audience far more than "Never Ever" or "Love Sex Magic". I may be wrong but I have a better feeling about this era than "Fantasy Ride". If she were to conform to current trends (and have a successful single on Pop), it wouldn't necessary translate into album sales (i.e. Jason Derulo, Jay Sean).
