Upside Down:The Story of Creation Records, cinema release FEB 2010, TV/DVD summer 2010.

Millions of sales, near bankruptcy, pills, thrills, spats, prats,

success, excess, pick me ups, breakdowns and of course some of THE

defining music of the late twentieth century, this is the definitive

and fully authorised story of the UKs most inspired and dissolute

label.

Sounds very interesting. I do hope it's a proper celebration and doesn't feature too heavily the crap of the late 90s that sent the label bust (Super Furries and a couple of others excepted of course!)

I remember listening to a one hour documentary around the time of their 10th birthday (1993?) which was brilliant and featured some fabulous music from the likes of The Legend, Felt, House of Love, Teenage Fanclub, Boo Radleys, Sugar etc.

If it was based on the book "My Magpie Eyes Are Hungry For The Prize" then it would be the definitive documentary on what is probably my all-time favourite label.

I went to a gig at the Albert Hall to celebrate their 10th anniversary. It featured the likes of Ride, Boo Radleys, Oasis and Bob Mould in June 1993, all playing acoustic sets. I was so impressed with Oasis that I bought a ticket to see them at the Astoria (capacity approx 2000) the following day. Obviously that was just before they really made it.

Will the soundtrack include I Know Someone Who Knows Someone Who Knows Alan McGee Quite Well by the Pooh Sticks?
