Posted October 6, 200915 yr I used to do a band of the day, now im doing band of the week. but anyway, this week's featured act is: Gallows. http://whatwouldhenryrollinsdo.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/gallows2.jpg Gallows are an English Hardcore punk rock band from Hertfordshire, England, formed in 2005. Their debut album, Orchestra of Wolves was distributed in the United States by independent label Epitaph Records, and they were recently signed to Warner Bros. Records under an agreement netting them a £1 million album deal with up to three options. Must have album: Orchestra of Wolves In the Belly of A Shark 6hvF3mDOmSo I Dread The Night eKr0zczQoXU London Is the Reason 7RcDzVqI250 What do you think of Gallows? Do you think Orchestra of Wolves is a modern punk classic and innovative of the hardcore punk genre, or is it just an overhype? Do you think OOW deserved the high reviews it got? Do you think Gallows are the way forward for the hardcore punk genre or do you think they are too major (they are on Warner Bros) compared to the past legends of the genre (such as Black Flag and Minor Threat)?
October 6, 200915 yr I haven't took a listen to any of their two albums, but I've been enjoying their recent singles (especially 'London Is A Reason' :o). Their older singles seem to be okay, I just find the newer ones more interesting.

Oh bit there albums are a must, 'Orchestra of Wolves' is just brilliant, and tbh you need to hear the track 'Orchestra of Wolves' its soo good, one of my most favourite punk songs ever. 'Grey Britian' is also a great album, I feel its more highly produced rather than the great raw sound of OOW but its still a great album anyway.
October 6, 200915 yr I guess I'm just more used on highly produced records than raw sounding records. *listening to the 'Orchestra of Wolves' track* Edit: Quite good. :o Kinda didn't understand what he's saying but musically quite good anyhow. Edited October 6, 200915 yr by FM11

I seriously reccomend getting, or at least downloading the album, such a great punk record, certainly one of the best (if not THE best) punk records this decade.
November 5, 200915 yr Not sure what people will make of this, but for some reason I see the Gllows as a not so hardcore version of Bring Me The Horizon. Still as good as BMTH though

November 5, 200915 yr Bring Me The Horizon... never got into this band. I find their songs a bit unlistenable.
