The IOC has decided to include golf and rugby (sevens) in the olympic program, as of 2016. The two sports fill up the spots left vacant after baseball and softball were discarded.

Not so fussed on the golf, but Rugby sevens is a great sport !

Good replacements I'd say. I'm guessing it'll just be solo golfers flying the flags, alike tennis.
