Posted October 17, 200915 yr Changes to the UK TV License now means a license is required to watch or record TV programmes on any equipment including mobile phones.
October 17, 200915 yr This isn't new. When I had a TV license when I first went to uni in 2007 this was the case...
October 18, 200915 yr It's good, if somewhat old, news for sure.... And doesn't the likes of Murdoch and Branson just bloody HATE it.......? Murdoch continues to bleat on about the "unfair advantage" of Public Broadcasters.... Fukk him and fukk Sky.... Fukk Virgin as well.... I'm already downloading all the telly I want to see, including US imports such as "Lost" and "House".... At the end of the day, Public Broadcasters are far more fair-minded, independent and relatively non-biased than the neo-con Murdoch Propaganda machine which is hell-bent on destroying Public broadcasting and has done so for the past 15/20 years.... The BBC, despite its flaws, deserves our unwavering support.... Because, without it, the likes of Branson and Murdoch would dominate almost completely.... This is something which MUST be resisted, by any means necessary.....
October 22, 200915 yr When we first moved to London my wife met a Filipino girl, early 20's, and they became friends. Went out for a drink with her husband who was in his 50's and he bragged to me that he had never had a TV licence in his life!! He said he used to just move all the time so they never caught up with him. Terrible when everyone else has one. Edited October 22, 200915 yr by Crazy Chris

October 23, 200915 yr I don't see the problem of paying £2.60 a week for some of the best TV and radio on offer, as well as one of the greatest news services in the world...
