Cliff Richard - Only Number Ones
Where's Livin' Doll by Cliff And The Young Ones? Was a No.1 in 1986 and is quite good.

Cliff Richard - Only Number Ones
Have you heard him speak now? Hardly know it's him. So his singing voice will leave a lot to be desired too.

No problem. Actually the Jimmy Osmond single was the first I bought. MGM label. I was only 12!

Now That's What I Call Music!
They're not pointless at all. Most have original versions and new one of No.1's from 60's to 80's which I've ordered.

Radio 1 Discussion
Start one then or shall I? Lots to discuss. The long delay in announcing a new Drivetime host, Sara on breakfast to mixed reviews, Bob Harris cancer. Trevor Nelson brain tumour but back P/T now. Party in Stirling this weekend.

Ella Langley - Choosin' Texas
Absolutely love this and going to check out her album.

Have to say Gezza, Mungo Jerry only had 2 No.1's. Other was Baby Jump.

John's 1976 Original Charts
Do you agree that Dancing Queen is a bit overrated and overplayed now John? Easily their best-known song though but despite it being a US No.1 surprisingly Fernando outsold it worldwide in the 70's. As I've said in the best-sellers thread I prefer Super Trouper, Fernando, Lay All Your Love On Me, and album tracks As Good As New, The Piper and That's Me. Any wedding disco these days and they'll play DQ though. Loved the Twiggy track in Autumn 76 but my fave of 76 is coming up, Pussycat.

I disagree. Abba have better album tracks. Try As Good As New, That's Me or Hasta Manana.

The BuzzJack Friday Chart Show Thread: 4th September 2026
Sad for Dolly but she gets her two biggest hits and Jolene betters it's No.7 peak in 1976 by just one place. I bought the RCA 45 then.

I love Choosin' Texas

What is Dolly Partons Signature Song?
Yes she made more money from that than any other. Refused Elvis permission to record it in 1975 as he wanted half the songwriting royalties which she refused.

I'd say Jolene.

Climate change news
We need another huge volcanic eruption. Was reading that when Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in June '91 there was so much ash in the atmosphere that world temperatures fell an average of 1.5 degrees.

Top 100 Best Selling Singles Of The 1970s
Overplayed too but is certainly their best known song and a Top 20 hit again in 1992, released to promote Gold.

We sang that over and over on the coach going to summer camp in Yr6. Much to the staff's annoyance. Actually preferred If Not You, the follow-up, and Sexy Eyes to that Dr. Hook one.

My mum wrote to the BBC about it, saying it was very rude. When your body's had enough of me and I'm laying flat out on the floor." On the beach in Ireland on R1 lol. She said "turn that filth off"

RIP Dolly Parton
Anyone ever heard Stella Parton's small 70's hit, The Danger Of A Stranger? Reached No.35 in 1977. She's 77 now. Sounds just like Dolly.

My favourite singer of all time. Most people only know her for that song but she had loads more.
