Knew I recognized the Aidan kid from somewhere....

Quite a decent return for Waterloo Road - I really dont get why such a long gap was needed between the first block and the second block though.

Is it me or has not much happened? One of the things that really annoys me about Waterloo Road is the fact that a guest starring child will be one of the prominent characters of said episode but after that is never heard or seen of again.

Paul Langley was initally introduced as an orphan who's uncle was his guardian, and was abusing him (or something like that), and now he's become one of the main pupils. :P

Not only are they never heard or seen of again, a lot of the time, I don't think they are heard of or seen before the said episode.

Or maybe they're in the background, and I just never notice them

like Rebecca Ryan/Debbie Gallagher from Shameless, was the main point before Xmas and has disappeared like magic!
I think Rebecca Ryan's character is suppose to return isnt she? Her storyline at least had somewhere to go at least if I remember correctly.
Was a good ep tonight, the Lauren bits were done really well but I felt there just wasn't enough of it in the ep.

Wasn't enough of the Lauren storyline? Are you joking? It dominated! You have to have other bits going on or it gets tedious.

Lauren did a good job and anything with screentime for Sambuca, Amy and co is always good but I wish it wasn't quite so focused on younger kids these days.

No I'm not joking I just felt they didn't go deep enough. Although I suppose they can continue to develope the storyline as she is a permenant character.

Tonight's was almost vintage WR. Much more focus on the teachers than the pupils for once. Very good.
i like wr... somehow it interests me in a way many other dramas/soaps dont. but there seems to be a shortage of decent 'boy' actors.... they all look like there 25 dressing up as kids, the girls however are all very good.

In actual fact the girl who plays Michaela (who's meant to be about 17) is 23, and the girl who plays Amy (meant to be 15) is 21! Quite amusing since the girl who plays Siobhan (Amy's best friend) is actually 15, and you can so tell there's a good five years between them. She's also Sally Webster from Corrie's real-life daughter, fact fans.

yeah, but somehow they pull off looking younger better then the boys...

why dont they use real kids like grange hill or byker grove did?

I was surprised the other day to find out that Michaela is played by the one who used to be in Coronation Street, the one who came 3rd on Dancing On Ice. It's so obvious now, but I went for so long without realizing :drama: She used to be one of my favourite characters in Corrie, and I wanted her to win DOI
