I was looking forward to three hours of great TV tonight (Waterloo Road, Junior Apprentice, Desperate Housewives), now I find out WR is not on  And it's not on next week either? I won't stand for this, I'm complaining to Ofcom!
Thanks for your e-mail.

We appreciate your disappointment that 'Waterloo Road' was replaced by 'Holby City' on 12 May.

As you're aware this was a knock-on effect from the disruption caused by the previous night's historic events which, as a public service broadcaster, we would have been expected to cover.

As 'EastEnders' is a continuing soap and 'Holby City' has a double bill the following week which must be shown concurrently, there was a need to show these displaced programmes as close to their original broadcast as possible and in their regular schedule timeslot.

Unfortunately this meant that 'Waterloo Road' had to make way as this was the most appropriate schedule slot.

We're sorry for any disappointment and hope you enjoy 'Waterloo Road' when it resumes on Wednesday 26 May 2010 at 20.00.

We'd also like to assure you that we've registered your complaint on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that's circulated to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers.

The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

I know that but I've got The Apprentice to watch tomorrow as well and I need to do revision so I may have to just skip the rest of this series and catch up in my own time.

Totally agree Rob. My fave series in fact. Never missed one since it started. Still haven't seen last week's though but will catch it on I-Player before the next episode. Goodness knows when that'll be as there's football on BBC tonight yet none next week but they've scheduled an Inspector Lynley repeat! Maybe they didn't want it to go up against a WC match but there's been so many gaps in this second half of the series. Two epsodes left to show.
