So after we had a long dragged out miserable Sonia and Martin for years, their storyline finally got the conclusion everyone wanted, them to be together with their daughter and now Sonias just up and left her happy life to move back to miserable Walford? :S

Im delighted the jacksons are returning especially carol asi loved her and lindsay is a brilliant actress, im looking to her and bianca crossing paths, sonia i like aswell and am looking forward to her return, robbie im not too bothered about i was never a fan of him and dean isnt a brilliant actor either

Is it not just a brief fleeting visit rather than an actual stint on the show as such? I thought Coulson had always ruled out returning to EE long term?

She had but apparently she's staying a while. The pay must be good. Sonia and Robbie aren't staying as long but they could always have their contracts extended obviously.

GOOD. I like Carol, but thought Robbie was a twit, and don't really want Sonia without Martin.

Yeah, I'm not that bothered at all. She's had a good run but it's time to jump ship. She's just been a tired parody of herself for a few years too long now.

really pleased to see the Jacksons back, they are very much 'my era', I started watching EastEnders circa 1994/5? I'm not especially sad at Peggy leaving, she used to be fantastic, not quite so much anymore...ever since Ronni Ancona's waddling, shuffling, huffing and puffing impression of her, I can't take her seriously :lol:

I think that is part of the problem; Peggy Mitchell has been parodied on so many shows now and become so iconic with EE, that the writers seem to be unconsciously playing up to it, and Peggy has become more and more of a caricature of herself.

I won't deny that EE will be losing one of it's most recognisable characters, and she WILL leave a huge gap on the show. But it's probably best she bows out now, rather than have Babs grow ever older and Peggy ever more frail and feeble, which is where we were heading.

Major lolz at Lucas and Owen tonight. I was half expecting Dot to pop up and starting quoting the bible with them :rofl:
