Oh my word at Zainab tonight. That was seriously funny stuff (but also really sweet ultimately and exceptionally well-acted).

And POOR BRAVE MAX. Even having Heavenly Carol™ around can't cheer him up. :(

I keep forgetting about Danny and Glenda, as wonderful as Glenda was. If they're going to be brought back, do it now and not in a few months time.

Great episode tonight. Good to see Dotty leave of course and some fantastic scenes with the Masoods.

Danny...

I think 2nd week of March comes to Peggy needing help...was something about a family member being in trouble with police and I think it was said to be him

Glenda needs to return ASAP.

There was nothing wub worthy about Glenda! At first I quite liked her but I did expect her to improve. I'd go so far as to say she became less watchable throughout her scenes. Very hammy.
I nearly forgot to sky plus eastenders for tomorrow i would bve lost sometimes only for this thread, thank you guys.

'Enders boss reveals Lacey killer reaction

Diederick Santer

Departing EastEnders boss Diederick Santer has revealed how Lacey Turner reacted when he told her that Stacey Branning was Archie Mitchell's killer.

Santer only informed Turner of her alter ego's secret minutes before the programme's live 25th anniversary episode went to air on Friday night.

The actress's reaction to the news was originally intended to be filmed for broadcast on EastEnders Live: The Aftermath, which aired on BBC Three after the special instalment.

However, Santer this afternoon told Richard Bacon on 5Live: "Lacey came to see me and I had a camera pointed at her [to record] the whole thing, but because I'm technically incompetent I didn't actually press record!

"I said, 'Lacey, I think you may have worked out why you're here - Stacey killed Archie. It was you!'

"Then she said something I can't really repeat right now, but she went with it. She started asking questions about the ending and about the performance."

The show's executive producer also confessed that he felt nervous and started chewing his pen when Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) fluffed his lines in one of the live episode's early scenes.

However, he added: "What [was] wonderful [was] his recovery. It happened within the first few minutes and [then] he was exemplary for the rest of the episode. He's done two live episodes of The Bill and he's a rock-steady kind of guy so I knew he'd pull it back."

And that means we get more Heavenly Carol™ to bring joy to a Wednesday eve.
HOW SO? She's rapidly rising the ranks to the extent that I expect she'll be in my Eastenders' Top 4 Ladies List by the Summer. -_-

Oh Jark, LOONAGE.

I'm glad Carol's back, but I don't think she's done anything THAT wonderful yet, aside from shoving Bianca into a bush on her wedding day.

'Innit' count: 4.

Including 1 from WHITNEY.

'Youthful' episode writer alert. Cull 'em already.

O boulderdash Eastenders was on tonight, I forgotten all about it, tunes into BBC3 later -_-

To be honest it wasn't a vintage episode tonight, but then after the last week EE has some high standards to meet anyway. Stolen post seems like a bit of a limp cliffhanger after the live episode and the birth.

Random thoughts

- The Beales really do make for a great family. I'm beginning to gain a grudging appreciation for Lucy - she's just so rubbish and tarty, it makes for some good writing with Jane and Ian.

- Did Billy and Carol used to have history? This crush of Billy's seems random and sudden?

- Jake Wood has been killing his scenes this week.

- As has Nina Wadia.

- Becca is a twat.

- As is the gorgeous Syed. Gorgeous he may be, but a bit hypocritical to be untrusting of Amira, no?

- Billie Jackson's chav friend/ho was unintentional comedy gold. I can't remember the exact line, something about Billie needing to represent his posse, but it made laugh out loud nonetheless. Joyfully abysmal.

She accused him of reppin' different endz now or suhin'. I was laughing too loudly to really understanding the gist of it because her 'oh no you dihnt' face upon seeing Whitney set me off. I love really rubbish portrayals of 'yoof' types in EE.

Max is definitely proving why he is the show's best male character (sod right off Christian fanzzz, it's only because he's a gay!). I really like his relationship with The Heavenly One.
