Zsa Zsa needs a storyline to cement her position. I just can't buy into her as the giant 17 [?] year old schoolgirl.

Did you not used to rave over Queen Tanya of Booty? If not then apols but YOUR LOSS.

Zsa Zsa could definitely be a good character but the problem is that she's got no proper storylines at the minute. All she does is wander around intefering with other people and being nosy. Also she's very charismatic but also quite 'stage school'. I imagine she'll improve when she's got a decent storyline. Clearly there's going to be some trouble between her, Shirley and her mum so that could be good.

I suppose zsa zsa will prove her worth if given a proper storyline, so i will reserve full judgement of her until then.
Zsa-Zsa is the only one of the 4 new teens who has started to prove her worth imo. Though obviously a proper storyline will be needed very soon. Fact is though is that she became a bit of a drip in the end in E20 after showing so much brilliance in her first episodes in the main show, I really think they should continue the pairing of her with Peter Beale aswell, give him a proper storyline aswell.
Ya peter definitly needs a good storyline he hasnt got a storyline of his own yet, also id like to see heathers mother return and see how heather would stand up to her again.
Yeap. These past few years theres been way too much focus on Lucy. Peter meanwhile has been forced to be dripping around with future mass-murderer Lauren.
Yes and Lucy isnt exactly that brilliant to warrant as much time as she gets, lucy was casted brilliantly on looks wise but i think they are trying to hard to make her like cindy and she isnt quite pulling it off just yet.

On Lucy, I am surprised to find myself really looking forward to her story.

Suggesting Jane/Ian raise her baby as their own [/breeDanielle]

Mel can have her good moments and she says we get to see a new emotional side to Lucy which I'm looking forward too.

YA day storyline should be quite good but im sure it wont work out as planned though from the charactors point of view not the scriptwriters.

Oh yea of course! The Beales won't be that lucky!

I'm gonna spoiler it even though I know nothing and its just a theory:

I can see Lucy having a miscarriage. A chance for different direction with character. Plus effect it would have on Jane - effectively losing another chance to have a baby. I just cant see Jane/Lucy with a baby when you have Heather and Zainab currently and Stacey still pregnant.

I don't mind that Zsa Zsa has no storyline yet - I don't think everyone needs one all the time anyway, look at Charlie and Big Mo! I'd much rather they spent time settling new characters into the Square, and giving us a chance to get to know them before suddenly demaning that we care about them!

I have to admit I immediately tend to turn off against characters who are introduced and are INSTANTLY given a big heartbreaking blockbusting storyline - simply because I don't care enough about those characters yet to give a damn!

The Masoods are a great example - they were eased in slowly, and rarely did anything more than quarrel with Denise - but they slowly began to gain appreciation, and so when they bring in the Syed/Christian saga, or Zainab's pregnancy, they're successful!

I totlly agree about a slow introduction and the masoods and amira are great examples of that i also think they have done the same with lucas and im really enjoying the lucas storyline aswell.

Mo George: 'Enders axe made me suicidal'

BBC

Mohammed George has spoken of the "depression" he suffered as a result of his departure from EastEnders.

The actor, who lost the role of road sweeper Gus in 2008, revealed that he "broke down more than once".

He told the Daily Star: "It was like having a noose around my neck, I couldn't breathe. I pleaded for help and broke down more than once but they did not want to help me. When I look back there were times I was so low I could have topped myself. I felt like I did not want to live.

"Depression is one of the worst things you can go through in life. I've seen them support so many people through drink and drug problems, so they could easily have supported me too."

George also signalled that he was forced to leave the BBC One soap, after bosses "believed" tabloid headlines which the star later proved wrong.

He added: "They said I'd be leaving by mutual agreement but, of course, it wasn't really like that. Instead of supporting me, they believed the bad press I'd got after all that bother with Emma. They just sold me down the river.

"It's been nearly two years since I left and I haven’t had one single acting job since. But I’m not going to give up."

New casting - not spoilering it as its online via DS so no point. But if you dont want to know anything just dont read it :P

Explains a spoiler about Pat and Peggy we heard last week!

Veteran actor Martin Jarvis has joined the cast of EastEnders as a potential love interest for Pat and Peggy, it has been revealed.

The 68-year-old will play Harvey Freeman, a mysterious 60-something freelance journalist who is tasked with reporting on the local elections for the Walford Gazette.

Described as a chancer and a ladies' man, Harvey first appears in Albert Square in May as best friends Pat and Peggy decide to run against each other for councillor.

Following her decision to pull out of the running last year, Queen Vic landlady Peggy - played by matriarch Barbara Windsor - enlists herself as this year's candidate. However, Peggy is seething when Pat (Pam St Clement) also decides to stand.

With their friendship put to the test, their local election battle is further heightened by Harvey's presence on the Square during the campaign period.

Both Pat and Peggy have their eyes on "perfect gent" Harvey, but the situation soon makes them realise that their friendship is worth more than what he has to offer.

Speaking of his casting, Jarvis said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be a potential thorn between two roses working with two actresses I greatly admire and have had the pleasure of working with before. I'm delighted to be reunited with Pam and Barbara and to have a part in EastEnders."

Outgoing executive producer Diederick Santer added: "I'm delighted that the wonderful and charming Martin Jarvis will be joining us in Walford, and I can't wait to see his scenes with Barbara and Pam."

Jarvis's acting credits include Titanic, Doctor Who, Murder She Wrote, A Touch of Frost and US show Numb3rs.

I really like the sound of that new casting / Pat and Peggy running opposite one another!

This is how I voted in the soap awards:

Sexiest Male · Marc Elliot (Syed EE) · Hardly much choice though and you know they're desperate when the likes of Christian and Cain are in there!

Sexiest Female · Sam Womack (Ronnie EE) · I so nearly went for Preeya Kalidas though and Charley Webb (Debbeh) deserves a few votes too!

Villain · Archie Mitchell EE · It could only be serial liar, rapist, unborn baby killer Archie couldn't it?

Best Actor · Danny Miller (Aaron ED) · The EE noms are actually laughable! Where is Jake Wood? Steve McFadden too...

Best Acress · Lacey Turner (Stacey EE) · Nobody else deserves a look-in. I laughed out loud when I saw Helen Worth's name there!

Best Soap · Eastenders · Obviously.

Yea I so didn't vote for John :kink:

Sexiest Female - I did go Preeya

Villian - same, Archie - three great EE choices

Actor - strange one, I think they want Adam to win but I actually voted Nitin

Actress - no contest, but seriously Babs over Sam?! WTF?!

Soap - Corrie. Oh wait it's not worst soap award. EE then :kink:

Gary nominated:

Sexiest Male: John Partridge

Sexiest Female: Preeya Kalidas (Although Michelle Keegan came a VERY close 2nd)

Best Villian: Archie Mitchell

Best Actor: Danny Miler (He's been fantastic as Aaron in Emmerdale)

Best Actress: Lacey Turner (Although Barbara Windsor over Sam Janus is laughable, as is Scott Maslen over Jake Wood and Steve McFadden).

Best Soap: EastEnders.

Michelle Keegan is the victim of tango.

As are most of the females in Weatherfield!
