There are ~67 million people in the country...... for all you know all the other 66,950,000 people could think it's sh!t.

Nope, it's just statistics and the things like excerpt and the error for the sales also work. So, the probability of that other people than who have bought the song hate it is practically equal to 0% or to something like 0,0000001% or so.

 

My point is that the sales are high enough and DO represent the whole country's music attutudes at a pretty high rate.
