Misfits follows five outsiders on community service who get struck by a flash storm and lumbered with special powers.

Hard as nails Kelly (Lauren Socha) can suddenly hear people’s thoughts, shamed sporting hero Curtis (Nathan Stewart Jarrett) discovers he has the ability to turn back time when he regrets something, and party girl Alisha (Antonia Thomas) can send people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin. Even painfully shy Simon (Iwan Rheon) can make himself invisible when he feels he’s being ignored, which makes it all the more hard to swallow for smart aleck Nathan (Robert Sheehan), who seems to have been unaffected, much to his dismay.

Unlike their more conventional counterparts, our misfits don’t swap their ankle tags and mobile phones for capes and tights. Instead, they discover what a pain in the arse life can be when you’re stuck with a super power you didn’t want.

It looks completely dreadful from the trailers, tbh. I expect better of you three! Less so, Jark, since he commented it's been $h!te.

I'm gonna watch it on +1, it looked fairly good from the adverts. :( Well, except for that annoying prick who says ''What if I can't feel pain?'' and then someone hits him.

comedy teen dramas + superheroes dont work.

To be honest I found it WONDERFUL, in a so-bad-it's-good way.

 

The beginning "disaster" was $h!t - no mention or national public over a storm where icebergs fell from the sky or anything. But the five leads are all pretty good.

The acting is okay (the chav is best, the quiet one worst) and the filming is pretty visually engaging but the writing truly is diabolical. I could barely believe how clichéd it was in parts. I'll watch again, but only because I'm weak and pathetic.

I didnt see the pilot but just watched episode 2, it was dodgily good, I feel a new guilty pleasure coming on.

You're better off having not seen the pilot frankly...

He's supposed to be annoying though, like Cook from Skins. The guy can really act even if you do have a desire to twat the character. This episode was an awful lot better I thought but still kind of crap. HMM.

Tonight's episode was properly immense! First time this series that it's felt like something really amazing and not just a wannabe Skins.

Seriously amazing episode. :wub: It really does get stronger each week I think, next weeks looks immense too. One of the best shows on TV right now imo. Really hope it gets another series at least.

It was possibly even better this week! Nathan and the baby, and then when Simon killed Sally at the end... we were all watching it with a look of pure :mellow: on our faces for the whole hour! Amazing.

^ Totally agree, it seems to get even better each week! :o I actually wasn't expecting Simon to kill her AT ALL. Such a good ending, my only criticism would be that we should get to see more of Kelly but I'm guessing it'll be more focused on her next week?

 

Definetly my favourite TV show at the moment. Brilliant.

The best episode so far. REALLY enjoying the show.

 

I reckon the next episode will be proper IMMENSE from the short clips cut. ;o
