Absouletly AMAZING episode tonight! I really warmed to Nathan, I was in SO much shock when he died ... I just watched the screen like :o.

 

Glad we saw more of Kelly, it was really touching when she was watching the video of Nathan. However I will NOT be happy if there isn't another series of Misfits because that would potentially be one of the worst endings EVER. That and it's by far one of my favourite TV shows this year, just amazing.

This makes my previous post irrelevant but -

 

E4's youth superhero drama, Misfits, has been recommissioned for a second series as the first run draws to a close.

 

Six new episodes of the drama, which follows five teenagers doing community service who develop superhuman powers after being caught in a storm, will be aired next year. The final episode of the current series airs tonight.

 

 

This follows a generally positive critical response for the show, written by Howard Overman and made by the independent producer Clerkenwell Films, which has been seen as a successor to E4's successful teen drama Skins.

 

 

Misfits has attracted consolidated audiences of more than 1 million a show according to Channel 4, including viewing via online catch-up service 4OD and E4 +1.

 

The penultimate edition of the first series, shown last Thursday, attracted 511,000 viewers for its initial airing on E4 in the 10pm hour, according to unofficial overnights.

 

Misfits was helped by a comprehensive viral marketing campaign. When it began airing in November, live tweets were posted from main characters in the drama. There are also Facebook pages for the five main characters, and more than 50,000 viewers have interacted with these.

 

The Channel 4 head of drama, Camilla Campbell, said: "Misfits always felt like a perfect E4 show and the response has been phenomenal. I'm delighted to commission a second series, and like its fans, I can't wait to see where Howard's inventive scripts take us and the gang."

 

 

 

So pleased! :wub: I predict it's got potential to be bigger than Skins next year, it at least deserves to be and I love Skins. :heehee:

The only thing i'm annoyed about is the format of mini-series. :( Was expecting at least 10 episodes :( But oh well this is gonna be huge next year :wub:

I have to say this show really won me over, i though the first episode was completely cringeworthy and the second wasn't exactly good either but the past 3 episodes have all been outstandingly good, especially last week's.

i watched this the other day after seeing the cast on jonathan ross and thought it was wicked. it'll be interesting to see how they start off the next series though with that guy stuck in the coffin..

Isn't the next series starting in March?
