Cheryl Cole looks set to pull off a chart double this Sunday, with her debut solo album 3 Words (Fascination) likely to join her debut solo single Fight For This Love at the top of the charts.

3 Words sold more than 31,000 copies yesterday on its first day of release, around 7,000 more than its nearest competitor, Michael Buble’s Crazy Love (Reprise).

Michael Jackson’s new album This Is It (RCA) is currently in third place, after selling around 17,000 yesterday.

New albums from Soldiers - Coming Home (Rhino) - and Katherine Jenkins – Believe (Warner Bros) – should also debut within the top ten. Current number one, Alexandra Burke’s Overcome (Syco), looks set to keep a top five position.

Meanwhile, Cole’s Fight For This Love (Fascination), which sold almost 300,000 units last week to debut at number one, looks highly likely to remain at number one this Sunday, after selling another 56,000 units yesterday.

Its nearest competitors are Westlife’s What About Now (S), which sold more than 32,000 units yesterday, and Jay Sean featuring Lil Wayne’s Down (Island). The title track of Cole’s album should also debut within the singles top 40.

PLEASE READ REVISED RULES

[01] Any member that is caught spamming, or trying to cause an argument to get a reaction will be severely warned with a ban for 7 days from posting on the forum.

[02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute.

[03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away.

[04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard.

[05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude.

[06] Do not use Text Talk.

[07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision.

[08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see.

[09] Finally, please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures.

I will start off with my top 5 prediction (although the top 4 look obvious).

1 Cheryl Cole (150k)

2 Westlife (120k)

3 Jay Sean (90k)

4 Alexandra Burke (70k)

5 Black Eyed Peas (45k)

Don't think any of Cheryl's other tracks will appear in the top 40 this week as I don't think they will be eligible and they will probably drop out anyway.

I think Cheryl will have another week at #1 in the singles, and possibly beat Michael Jackson in the albums.
Cheryl will definitely still be #1 in the singles, and she may just be beating Michael Jackson in the albums, but only marginally I think.

Singles - prediction for Tues:

1. Cheryl

2. Westlife

3. Jay Sean

4. Alexandra Burke

5. Micheal Buble

I know my #5 is a long shot.. but there have been two high charting versions on iTunes.

Don't think any of Cheryl's other tracks will appear in the top 40 this week as I don't think they will be eligible and they will probably drop out anyway.

Why wouldn't they be eligable?

Considering all the free face time Cheryl gets on X Factor every week and the very recent success of MJ's 'The Essential' album, I don't think it will be close at all. Cheryl will win hands down because the market for another MJ hits collection is pretty diminished right now. Big MJ fans already own the hits and the 2nd CD of "This Is It" isn't enough to convince them to buy the album, and casual MJ fans or general music fans who wanted the hits, already bought them over the last few months. It's strange Sony haven't put more on the album to entice people to buy it.
Don't think any of Cheryl's other tracks will appear in the top 40 this week as I don't think they will be eligible and they will probably drop out anyway.

They will be eligible, or do you have some information we don't know about?

Why Westlife specifically? :P

Does that mean it's a free-for-all on everyone else? :w00t:

Question: is referring to Westlife as 'Wasteoflife' or putting a little :puke: next to their name considered bashing?
