Posted November 5, 200915 yr OMG can't wait for this :w00t: --- http://www.popjustice.com/images/stories/j/christmsepsb.jpg Pet Shop Boys will release a new EP, “Christmas”, on Parlophone Records on December 14th. The full track listing is: 1. It doesn’t often snow at Christmas (new version) 2. My girl 3. All over the world (new version) 4. Viva la vida/Domino dancing 5. My girl (our house mix) “All over the world” is a new version of the track from Pet Shop Boys’ latest album, “Yes”. Also included is a new version of “It doesn’t often snow at Christmas”, originally an exclusive Christmas single issued to members of the Pet Shop Boys fan club in 1997. Both new versions are produced by Marius de Vries and Pet Shop Boys, based on the original tracks, and have orchestral and choir arrangements by Matt Robertson and Marius de Vries. Pet Shop Boys’ arrangement of the Madness classic, “My Girl”, was originally performed with Suggs and Carl of Madness at “Can You Bear It?”, last year’s charity benefit for the family of Chris and Neil’s former assistant and close friend, Dainton Connell, who was tragically killed in a car accident. The EP also includes the medley of Coldplay’s “Viva la vida” and Pet Shop Boys' “Domino Dancing” which has been a highlight of the current PSB world tour. This studio version is produced by Stuart Price. The EP is being released on both CD and digital download. --- Their version of Viva La Vida is f***ing awesome too

November 5, 200915 yr I actually know that song really well, they play it in Asda a lot every xmas! would be nice if it could be a hit but that would be too much to ask :(
November 5, 200915 yr Much excite :w00t: I love that track This is SO going to be my Xmas personal chart #1 track
November 5, 200915 yr Author I actually know that song really well, they play it in Asda a lot every xmas! would be nice if it could be a hit but that would be too much to ask :( Probably :snif: Surprised they play it in Asda, considering it's never had an official release before...
November 6, 200915 yr Brilliant.... they're doing my favourite Madness song, too.... I'd love them to have one last MEGA hit.... perhaps this could be it? Lovely artwork, too, as usual.
November 7, 200915 yr Probably :snif: Surprised they play it in Asda, considering it's never had an official release before... Asda FM is very odd, they play flops and rarities all day long, rarely play huge hits they also play the (brilliant) Saint Etienne xmas song every year
November 8, 200915 yr Fantastic, love this track, i'm glad it's getting a single release. I'd love them to get their 2nd Xmas No.1...won't happen but one can dream. Edited November 8, 200915 yr by Chartbusters
November 9, 200915 yr I think IDOSAC was released on some compilation to do with Elton John a few years back.
November 10, 200915 yr Author Didn't know that  Anyway, the new version of All Over The World was played by Chris Evans for the first time on Radio 2 yesterday. Can't find a YouTube video, but it's on iPlayer. Keyword - sleighbells :cheer:
November 10, 200915 yr I will definitely have a listen on it. :) It will flop though: even PSB release potential killer of 'Poker Face' size they will flop, they aren't cool for the massive public now anymore.
November 10, 200915 yr Author Yeah I know what you mean sadly Arrs :( I talked about going to their concert in May to people at work and they thought it was them that got caught having sex with a hamster
November 12, 200915 yr EP has leaked, I'm not keen on the Viva La Vida cover, seems a bit boring to me :( LOVE the new mix of All Over The World  although it was the album standout to begin with
November 12, 200915 yr I agree that pet shop boys simply dont appeal to the masses anymore where instead just appeal to their loyal hardcore fanbase, which is a shame as they can still come up with some decent songs,
December 7, 200915 yr They still do very well to get top 20 singles and top 5 albums to be fair. They don't hang around for long but bands from a similar era don't even make it in the top 40 most of the time. So at least there is still the market for them but only just. Heard this yesterday and it's fantastic. Viva La Vida could have been a bit better but it's alright. Really like the catchy 'My Girl' and the other two tracks, All OVer The World and the Xmas song are subllime. great end to a great year i reckon.
