Yeah i wasn't stereotyping. I'm fully aware that not all of their fanbase are hormonal teenagers. But if you look at the youtube comments for example under their videos, you will know what i mean. Pretty sad imo.

Ye some fans can be a bit :| at times.. "omg aston hes so fit" etc.. But just thought Id point out not all of us are like that

Leona's album sales were amazing of course, but the album industry is AWFUL right now so... :lol:

 

Anyway why are you comparing Leona's whole portfolio with all the other X Factors, it's so irelevant! No one said that she hasn't been sucessful, no one said that Alex is better than her, people just don't like this song.. They're allowed to without you bringing the whole history of Leona Lewis into it.

Because someone compared the initial sale of BB, FFTL, EIL with Happy as evidence as to why she is doing poorly.

 

I thougt it is a valid argument to say that comparsion was unfair to make, as they are all new on the block, and shouldn't be compared until they have cemented their position in the music industry.

I don't understand why it is irrelevant, and I don't think it aimed at mature people and I don't think they were the only ones who brought Spirit in it's first week- everybody young and old were going crazy for it. If someone compares the first day sales of Bad Boys, FFTL and EIL with Happy as evidence at how poorly Leona is doing, then I think I can use this as a counter-point. And I was also talking about 3 Words and the upcoming JLS album as wel- not just Alex- whose album dropped four places in one week.

 

That's my point - Leona's album can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. The older generation will love the ballads and the younger people will love the contempary side of it and also cos she was on XF. Alexandra's/Cheryl's album is directed at the younger generations who normally download, therefore don't buy many albums. The reason i called it irrelevant was because there is a gap of 2 yrs between Overcome and Spirit. But only a gap of a few weeks between EIL, BB, FFTL and Happy. But i agree, why bother comparing Happy to the aforementioned three?

You're right, Beyonce is the Queen Bey. Everyone calls her it and i mean everyone. I've heard no-one except on here call BS Queen B.

Haha well i was a fan of them around the BA release and i'm a 15 yo male so i obviously know not everyone likes them for their looks. :P Tbh the fact that most of their fans only like them for their looks was the reason i went off them.

OK I agree the album sales comparison being a bit harsh- I guess I was just a bit irritated when someone made that earlier comparison about the single sales.
