I don't think I can bear to read this thread these days. People have no objectivity. The fact that Olly is MALE doesn't mean he's automatically 'HORRIBLE' or has a 'TERRIBLE VOCAL'. It wasn't. It was fine.

 

PREACH IT. I've noticed it from a number of BJ posters - it's an extension of the female bias we have towards established music acts here - the likes of Olly and Danyl are NEVER going to please everybody here because they have a penis.

 

 

 

I actually thought it wasn't a bad week - bar the usual J&E, there weren't any BAD performances tonight, which makes a change.

 

 

01. Stacey - I wouldn't go so far as some have on this thread - it was good, but I still don't think she's in the league of Leona or Alex yet.

02. Olly - he has sung better, but overall it was another likable performance. He is essentially a more talented and less irritating Robbie.

03. Joe - lacklustre to begin with, great at the end.

04. Danyl - not as bad as the haters say, but not quite his bes performance either. Solid, but nothing more.

05. Lloyd - in tune which was a pleasant surprise. He also managed to find a bit more power in his voice - he's stil nowhere near ready yet, but that was a vast improvement.

06. Jamie - not terrible, just rather MEH. And his voice is quite shaky in places, he's beginning to fall behind the rest of the pack.

07. John & Edward - oh what's the point? We already know they can't sing. It's all very well the judges going on about how hard they try, but that's realy not the point is it?

 

 

 

 

On a separate note, POOR Dannii. She becomes more and more of an outsider each week. She's now not even getting to voice her opinion with the audience's inability to shut up. (Seriously, X Factor audiences - most annoying ever). Which is a shame, because aside from the odd occasion when Simon is in a good mood, Dannii is the only one who actually tries to offer constructive criticism and actual advice. She's the only one who still at least makes the effort to pretend it's a singing competition, although it's obvious she's becoming more and more disillusioned with the show. I don't think she'll be there next year.

Unfortunately evidently the UK public would appear to prefer Louis' tantrums and Cheryl Queen of Hearts commenting on everybody's hair.

Gosh, some people on here really believe their opinion is fact. It's fine to go DANYL IS CRAP AWFUL PUKE etc. but when someone disagrees or even dares to praise him it's like NO, YOU'RE WRONG! HE'S CRAP! GET SOME EARS!

 

I think people tend to inflate their opinion of how rubbish they find him just because Simon Cowell praises him so much. He's not brilliant, but he's not awful by any means.

 

My rankings:

 

01. Stacey - Easily my favourite now, I also like my next three, but she's just in a different league. A really magical performance.

02. Joe - One of his best I think, showed he was a bit more versatile. I think he was a bit off just before he hit that high note, sounded a bit squawky.

03. Danyl - Not amazing, but was good. I think it was well controlled and not at all cocky. It's almost as if people on here wanted him to be arrogant and smug with his performance, yet they would have grilled him just as much if he had. Give it a rest, yeah?

04. Olly - A bit disappointing tonight, I like his dancing but I wasn't keen on his more 'talky' vocals, Dannii was right.

05. Lloyd - His best performance so far, I sort of liked him for the first time.

06. John & Edward - Wasn't quite as bad or novelty as usual, but it was still awful.

07. Jamie - Forgettable, any other middle aged man could give a similar performance etc. If there's any contestant I can't stand and find an arrogant person, it's Jamie. Poor Dannii too, got told to f*** off when criticising Jamie. Think it kinda sums up the Jamie supporters.

I think it was interesting earlier on Xtra Factor when they were saying Danyl is a better dancer than Olly, I forgot he was a dance teacher. I think they should get him to do an uptempo number with a dance. :wub: He said something like 'I think they want me to do ballads' though.
