Williams is currently ahead of boy band JLS in the mid-week chart based on first day sales on Nov. 9, according to the Official Charts Co. The album is also No. 1 in the iTunes charts in 16 European countries. It currently tops the iTunes chart in Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Holland, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Portugal and Greece. If Williams does claim the top spot in the U.K. on Sunday (Nov. 15) it will be his ninth No. 1 album in Britain. He has reached the top of the chart with all seven of his previous solo albums as well as a 2004 greatest hits set. His new single "You Know Me" is out on Dec. 7.

November 10, 200915 yr Author Yep, the sales were lost. See the Midweeks thread in the chart forum I posted about it in the other thread here, the one that says the album is #1 in 17 countries. Music week made a mistake. Rob is on 85K first day, which makes it the fastest selling album of 2009 :D
November 10, 200915 yr Author Yes there figures are correct. It is confusing but Music Week quickly changed their article o their website to confirm Robbie is #1. B) Anyone who is thinking about buying it, please buy it this week as it is his only serious shot at definatly making #1.

November 10, 200915 yr Author What was it before? It's only a pound cheaper. Same price as Michael Buble and Foo Fighters. Glad it is back on top on Amazing. JLS are #1 on Play now, he is #2 and #16 so when added I am sure he is ahead. On HMV he is #1 on Artist album chart but #2 on the best sellers.

November 10, 200915 yr I actually think (contrary to what seems to be the popular opinion) that Robbie will do much better on downloads than JLS. I fully expect JLS to win the physical sales battle. I don't think many 12 year olds download music. 12 year olds will pop along to HMV and spend their pocket money. It's the sales this weekend that worry me. The mammys and grannies buying the weans a JLS album for Xmas. <_<
November 10, 200915 yr Author Hmm, I dunno. The only reason they might win physically is due to all their different covers in HMV. I do think though that most people who downlaod music are under 20. Rob's fanbase are much more physical buyers, as are most people over 20 who have large collectons of CD's. I think him winning on downloads is very suprising actually, considering JLS's singles were big sucess on Itunes.

November 10, 200915 yr Author I dont know tbh :lol: I think it is mainly teens who buy X Factor singles, and considering how high their singles sales are compared ot the album sales (certainly with most of the acts so far apart from Leona and now JLS), they are more singles buyers, and considering the majority of singles sales are downloads..........:smoke:
November 10, 200915 yr Hey !!!! stop knocking the Robbie fans....we catch up very qucikly on the technological front us oldies do !!!!! :lol: all you do is press a bloody button..... ;) seriously though I think Robbie mat have founf himself some new fans this time around & releasing BODIES first kinda drew a new audience in his direction so maybe that has helped his download sales.... I too am kinda bothered about the weekend sales ( unless the housewives spend a bit at the weekend ) :) I tell you what the price of the CD's in HMV over here is disgraceful...daylight robbery ...it really annoys me :wacko:
