I know considering on CDWOW, you can buy the special edition for €11, to change near €20 for the normal is a disgrace. It is £7 in Sainsburys in the UK, which is about 9 euro

Where was it on the HMV chart you bought it Tess?

FINALLY Rob has given an interview where he is not underplaying his sucess. I was getting a bit sick of him not making it clear how well he was doing before he took a break. He said on Steve Wright's rado show today about the album being #1 in 18 countries and went onto say the last time he was around he played to 3.6 million people on tour and his two albums that came out in that calander year, IC and Rudebox sold over 10 million. :D I was begining to wonder if he knew any of this  He obviously has his confidence back :D

Listen here - really good interview http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00nrwlw

It was on the Amazon chart that I saw it...here is the page & it is at the bottom left hand side of the page...RKTVS is at No 1 & JLS is at No 3

You always have to pay by credit card on these sites as far as I know....

I am not sure what HMV are up to...they show RKTVS at No 1 on physicals & then on the download chart there is no sing of the album chart which cannot be the case & then they show RKTVS at the bottom of the page with an ad saying it is available to download.....

I am not sure if HMV are playing silly beggars tbh because I am suspicious of their chart positions that they display online. <_<

Midweeks are in. JLS are closing the gap and are less than 2K behind Robbie now

Come on people, we need to get him to #1. Download the album a few more times. I have just bought another copy on Amazon. -_-

1 Robbie Williams 119.3k

2 JLS 117.4k

3 Snow Patrol 30.8k

4 Biffy Clyro 25.5k

5 Soldiers 24.6k

Maybe the chart should only include one sale per album buyer as I think he is unfairly disadvantaged by a boyband's promo tour of HMVs this week who have five different covers of the same album:

Can you really call it unfair though...just clever marketing & these guys are young & mad for the road ...... ;)

Robbie is the 'old dog' most likely at home with his feet up :P

As Robbie says..' I can't be ars*d '....

I'm getting beyond annoyed now

What a feckin travesty if it turns out he loses the No1 to JLS. And they're not even remotely good looking. Teenage girls obviously have strange taste these days. Not like in my day. :smoke:

And on that note I'm off to watch Donny on the telly -_-

I am going to be furious if he is beaten. He is #1 on Amazon, HMV and Play and it #1 on dowloads on Itunes, Amazon and Play so how many bloody physical copies can be bought by JLS fans? These signings should be banned

And is it true their album ia £5 in some supermaket? The cheapest Rob's is is £7. It is 4.99 on a webside but they are shipped from Hong Kong and does not count.

I actually think (contrary to what seems to be the popular opinion) that Robbie will do much better on downloads than JLS. I fully expect JLS to win the physical sales battle.

I don't think many 12 year olds download music. 12 year olds will pop along to HMV and spend their pocket money.

So do you now accept I was correct?

:P

Yes. But only because of their massive HMV signing tours :smoke:

How many copies have you bought? I bought 5 so far, 2 in Ireland, and 3 from Amazon in the UK. Ill give the 3 to people for Xmas so I might still buy a few more during the week. :smoke:

Was in HMV in Dublin today (Grafton St) and JLS were #1 and Rob was only #4. They had massive stands for JLS, I had trouble finding Rob's album   And they were playing Robs Greatest Hits in the shop

Most of the time what is #1 on HMV is not #1 on the actual chart though. ^_^

I've only bought 2 copies but I'm going to download another copy before Sunday. :naughty:

Question -_-

You know those I-tunes popularity bar things that people always post in the Chart Forum? Can you only get them for singles or do they exist for albums too?

HMV seem to have an agenda as far as JLS are concerned. It ain't a level playing field.

No, not for albums. Rob has been #1 on Itunes all week though.

You are right about HMV though. They had JLS plastered all over the site, more so than anyone and have huge posters on the main window in Dublin. No posters anywhere for Robbie. Their album was priced at €11.99 and his was €16.99 :arrr: :arrr:

What percentage of albums are downloaded in the UK as opposed to physical cds? I'm guessing it must still be about 70% physical? Maybe more?

I am not sure. Cant find online. All articles just harp on about how digital downloads for tracks have risen hugely.
