I just downloaded RKTVS on Amazon. I didn't get Arizona :o

I'm not bothered as I already have it but I thought it came with the downloaded version?

I think it is an Itunes exclusive. Which is a shame as I think it is one of the best tracks on the album. Most people wont hear it though. What do you think of it btw?

Oh I- Tunes only. I see :smoke:

I like it :yahoo:

I just did a check around the sites and:

He is #1 on HMV, Play.com, Amazon (digitally and physically - actually JLS are not even #2 digitally, Rob'sGreatest Hits is  ), Itunes, Tesco (digitally and physically). I just do not get how JLS are ahead. Yes I know they have a lot of support from HMV will the covers thing and the signing and the posters all over the windows etc, but really, surely most cd's are bought online or in supermakets as they are cheaper there? I find it all so irriating.

JLS must be majorly winning the battle on the High Street. Exactly as I said they would days ago. You need a credit card to buy things on-line. 12 year olds don't have credit cards. -_-

No, they are not majority winning. There was an article I read a few hours ago that suggested it is so close staff in HMV are unsure which album to place at #1. Tbh, I am shocked there is no hype in the media. This is a major chart battle and usually the tabloids love this sort of thing but nothing. JLS overtook him on Wednesday and no Mirror stories. I think they are waiting till Monday and then Xmas will have come early for those 3am bitches. :puke:

If the Sun made a huge big deal out of it I think it would make more people buy Rob's album who were thinking of waiting tll nearer Xmas. The lack of hype outside chart websites is not good imo.

But if Robbie is clearly number 1 on all the on-line retailer sites and also number 1 on the download sites, where do you think their sales are coming from if they're increasing their lead over Robbie every day?

They must be selling a lot more than him on the High Street. There isn't any other explanation. Unless the Midweeks are wrong and Robbie's got 50,000 on-line sales still to be added somewhere.

I assume, online sales are close and they are slightly ahead on the High St. I mean it is only a couple of thousand copies we are talking about here. Tbh, EMI could easily do what Louis Walsh does and buy up the different

I know, but it would avoid all the negetive press that will come next week :smoke:

Tbh, I wouldnt be suprised if that is what Cowell does with Leona. He will be desperate for her to #1.

Oh I'm quite sure it happens loads. Record Companies are fly buggers <_<

All these acts that can sell hundreds of thousands of records but funnily enough can't sell out a local village hall when tour tickets go on sale. Funny that

To be fair ... Rob has had the major publicity and promotion so I really don't know what you're all complaining about. I mean ... the Electric Proms, Live Lounge, a whole Loose Women episode, Jonathan Ross (where he sang more than any other artist is permitted to sing) plus the obligatory X-Factor (granted this would only have helped the single) In addition ... it hasn't been JLS that has had 30 second TV adverts on in the middle of a soap that has on average 11 million viewers per episode. It happens ... and you can't accuse kids of buying multiple copies when you're all encouraging each other to do it here. All things considered ... it is a level playing field ... up until Friday JLS have sold more in the UK. Stop moaning about it! He'll have the eventual bigger sales anyway ... and I still think (given the two adverts last night in Coronation Street) he'll end up number 1.

There!

Robbie has done the different covers thing before, with Greatest Hits. As the different JLS covers are only available through HMV on line I don't actually think they'll make that much difference.

Obviously I want Robbie to make number 1 in the UK, but how incredible for JLS to sell so many copies of their Debut album, and with a 100% UK fan base too. It would be interesting to know what percentage of Robbie's online sales went to overseas addresses.

And it's not true to say that all JLS's fans are kids, they're not, any more than all Robbie's fans are women of a certain age :P

Anyway ... if it makes anyone happy ... Rob's album is number one in the Wigan HMV shop's chart. It is £7.99 against JLS's £9.99 if that makes a difference. And apparently ... I've just found out that all download albums at Tesco are just £3.97 - if anyone wants to download themselves another copy.

Yeah JLS's album is also £3,97 (funny how the Sun didnt mentioned this  ), as is Cheryl, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and most recent releases

Glad it is #1 in that HMV shop. He is #1 accross downloads and online retailers so being #1 in store as well is good. I went onto JLS's fansite to see what they were saying about the chart battle and according to a thread there Robbie is ahead of JLS by 100 copies. I bet this is totally made up by JLS fans in order to get people to buy it more  If people are doubting the JLS fans would purchase 5 copies of the album, you should look on that forum. 5 copies is nothing compared to what some of them are buying. I came accross one poster who has bought FIFTEEN copies of the album today alone :o Think of how many copies they must've got throughout the week  How they can afford it I dont know

I am glad it was advertised during Corrie though. I have only seen it advertised twice. :(

the only thing that is important is 1st week sales, and when reality exceeds 200,000 copies it'll be a HUGE success.

+ if it has stable sales during xmas i see it selling 800,000-1m copies even in 2009...

What an insane world we live in, buying multiple copies of the same thing just to bump it up ?

There are more important things you can spend money on, non ? And if you really have too much cash in your hands give it to charity. I don't really care about them sales, who cares about another act doing better or worse.

All I know is that I love the fact Robbie is in the picture again, love the interviews he's giving, the huge amount of airplay he's getting on the radio in The Netherlands.

The unexpected joy of picking up magazines or a TV guide and see his cheeky smile on the cover

It looks like the Robster has just lost out to JLS despite selling 238K by 1519 sales.

Well we all knew it would be very very close. It is such a shame this has happened but his sales being so high have cheered me up

Well done to JLS though. Amazing achievment to beat Robbie and all other huge acts such as U2, Eminem and the winner of the XF Alexandra to gain the years fastest seller. It's amazing that both JLS and Robbie has sold more in a single week than Madonna's GH sold in near 2 months - I only just noticed. :o . I think though the fact JLS's album has dropped to #4 on Itunes and Robbie is still #1 means their sales are going to trail off alot more than his next week.
