Yeah physical release next week which is simply ridiculous and will result in a low chart placing

I have yet to see the video on TV or hear the song on the radio

It is #3 on the Airplay Charts in the UK though :o

Scooty! :cheer:

I've decided EMI are deliberately sabotaging things

Or else they are total halfwits

I don't think they have the ability to deliberatly do anything tbh

So option two

I have a bad feeling about tomorrows midweeks - I havent even looked to see where it is on itunes - I fully expect it to peak next week and after he performs it on the telethon on the 19th.

Number 60 this week so it should climb top 30 next week all going well.

All going well? I assume you are being sarcastic? :P

This has already made headlines saying how it has bombed etc. On gigwise they mentioned it is the first SR single to miss the top 5. <_< And they also had a poll to ask people if they had bought it and an astonishng 100% of people were not even aware it was out.

There is huge confusion around the Robbie forums as to whether it is indeed released yet, especailly physically. Apparently Amazon only have 4 copies in stock. You couldnt make it up. Some fans have had to buy it from the German Amazon in order to get the physical cd along with the B-side. It is simply ridiculous and makes no sence. Robbie should've been doing a promo tour for this single seeing as it is for SR, but instead he is apparently with TT recording an album.

The whole thing is very annoying to say the least. MS does not deserve to be his worst charting single ever as it is is a great song, but simply is not commercial enough. It doesnt even have a chorus - so I don't know why SR picked it as the single when Robbie had been saying for months that he wanted Starstruck - which made sence seeing as an uptempo song is what was needed after YKM. I just hope after his performance on SR on Friday and a proper physical release it rised to the top 40 at least.

The only good news is that the album has recieved a 50%+ increase in sales despite falling one place to 23 - ocver 14,000 sold this week - total now just under 860,000.

There was no way this was ever going to be promoted though because of the very fact that it was given away for charity, I think Robbie & EMI's attitude was ' here you are ...get on with it' <_<

I bought it from Amazon marketplace. Shipped from Switzerland I think

It only cost me about £4 including postage so not too bad. I still don't see it for sale on HMV

Having made these excuses, I don't consider Morning Sun to be remotely suitable for a Sport Aid single.
I wasnt being sarcastic when i said it should go top 30 next week, i knew the single was as such a mixed up release and for it to go top 60 this wweek was good, my understanding was the phyisical was released this week which i felt would get the single top 30. The only reason i would like this to chart low is because i love sin sin sin and i dont want sin sin sin to remain his lowest charting single, morning sun and sin sin sin are far from his worst single and dont deserve to be his lowest charting in my opinion.

Please do not mention SSS & Morning Sun in the same sentence......SSS was diabolical start to finish including the video where Robbie looked like an overgrown pimp or some South American drug baron ( no offence to those nice South American folk ) but you get my drift ...

i can't understand why the song flops so badly, because its actually a very great song, i love it. I thought it would go top 10.

I want him to perform more frequently. the album is still doing brilliantly #22 this week, nearly 860,000 copies sold.

Being honest i dont know wjy its flopping so badly either, im not robbiels biggest fan but i was sure this would go top 30 this week, maybe people are just buying the album instead but i think the main probelm with the single is that alot of people still dont know its released.

I agree sin sin sin had a bad video but the song itself i like, i find the chorus really catchy and its actually one of my fave robbe singles.

the song entered the german singles chart at #32, but the album rises 9 spots this week to #32 (#41)... so the song helps the album alot.

What do they expect...even if you wanted to buy the single you could hardly find it....
