Really hoping to see the X factor gang at the top spot this week. Not only is it a really good song, but all the proceed will be coming to Great Ormond Street and helping out lots of children! :-)

I have downloaded the single illegally and donated £5 to Great Ormond Street through the website.

So everybody's happy :)

Except Simon Cowell.

I never thought of that lol :D

only 25% of profits are going to the charity, the public are just stupid sheep. If you care about the charity, donate directly and not via Simon Cowell.

Exactly, I remember last year my local HMV & Zavvi (RIP) had a donation box where on the weeks of release you could donate towards the charity instead of buying the X-Factor musical monstrosity.

Eh... that's apparantly what Simon Cowell the big liar has promised the hospital. If only they read between the lines and understood that most probably not even 100k of the full sale will go to them. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't get to see any of it, that's what happened last year at least, but well who wants that measly 7% anyway. Even the government would give them more, and we're in a recession!

On the inside of the CD case it says "No less than £1 from the sale of each CD will be paid to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's charity".

So, taking away the £1, it would retail for £2.99, The same record company (Syco) can afford to retail Leona's non-charity single for £1.99 in physical format. Out of the £1.99 there is of course a profit made, so £2.99!!!!??!??

don't forget it's a cover and royalties will go to MJ's kids or whoever owns the song. And as it's an MJ song the price to cover the song would be quite big. Therefore would increase the price of the song.

So to cut costs, why not do an original song, or cover a song by a SonyBMG/Syco arist so there are no costs so more will be given to charity?

Here is what it says on 'The X Factor' Site - that

£1, from each CD sold, will go to the Children's

Hospital.

http://xfactor.itv.com/2009/videos/player/item_200784.htm

It ONLY mentions the CD - no mention - at all -

is given, as to how much go to the Hospital from

Downloads.

The CD is about £4:,

Amazon.uk (One Amazon.uk Reviewer says that the

2008 'X Factor Finalists' Single only had 7% of its

profits going to the Charity, which it claimed to

be released for! Does Simon Cowell really think we

are all Morons? Gordon 'Misnomer' Smart, of 'The

Sun' does. He says we can't 'knock' 'You Are Not

Alone', because the cash is going to Charity - no

mention that 75% of it is NOT!).

So - why isn't every penny going towards the

Hospital? Instead - 25% is for the Hospital, &

75% goes elsewhere. How much to Simon Cowell?

So, the Video uses images of very ill Children,

at the Hospital - and only a Fourth of the cash

goes to help them. I call it disgraceful, greedy,

manipulation.
