BJSC_tjugosju: Half a year later. Round II?

 

It's rumoured that Kele Okereke, the frontman of the most popular Elëdanese band, Bloc Party, is going to be representing the country in the next contest returning after half a year of absense since the last time he's participated in the BJSC with the song "It's Not The Things You Say", collaboration with the Dutch DJ and producer, Tiësto.

 

That is all so far.

I only knew Du Og Jeg which is not that good tbf. Just remembered randomly about this band recently when obsessing over Denmark and everything connected to it! :lol:

Crystal Castles come 11th in FSR Rontvia

 

So yesterday the very final of BJSC 27 took place. The conest has again become the successful one for Elëdan, being the second BJSC in a row to bring Top 11 placing for the nation. Kopecka who didn't win since XII, the contest hosted by Elëdan, were victorious at the night of the event. FSR Rontvia maintained Top 5 this time as well whilst Nonsuch finished Top 10 for the third time in a row.

 

The head of the Primary BJSC Cabinet who run the contest in Elëdan, Herrard Glëmt, on a press conference after yesterday's final stated that "our nation voted only for two countries in the Top 10. This is getting more and more ridiculous". He also told about the positive effect the Big Final format has and asked people to vote for it in the poll that will start today. This is true, since the Big Final format was introduced Elëdan finished 9th and 11th in two consecutive months which only happened in V and VI when the nation won and came 11th consecutively.

 

So well done to Crystal Castles who finished third to last in a contest Elëdan won and this time managed to receive three 18 and 15 pointers in one night scoring 173 points overall. Which is the second best result Elëdan has had after last month's record breaking 180 points brought home by Stoffer & Maskinen. Elëdan's third best result was 10 contests ago with Shakira's Loba that received a total of 169 points and finished second, the only 'even' hit out of 9.

 

BJSC 28 plans are yet to be fully revealed. So far one song is seen as a strong contender for representing the nation. It is "Natteravn" by Rasmus Seebach that has become a Top 5 hit in Elëdan last week. However the full release week is yet to follow so we can only guess the true staying power of the song and the next contest will not start until 6th of July.

In order:

'Natteravn': I love the music! The song definitely picks up, the chorus is strange but I like it.

'Everything You Wanted': Nice, could be a grower, very pleasant to listen to.

'Million Pieces': It's quirky but it gets pretty annoying after a while.

'Silence': Not for me at all

 

'Young Heart' sounds nice from the clip but I can't judge a song on 15 seconds. :P

I just listened to 'Natteravn' again and it sounds even better! A male singing in a foreign language, who'd have thought I'd like it? :o Possibly the first points to Eledan since Shakira? or Marit? I can't remember which was more recent. :P
