I changed my entry (again!). I hope it's nok taken, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else beat me to it, as it's rather lovely.

I might send a dark and heartbreaking Japanese enka song/ballad from the 70's or a fun Japanese 80's pop hit. Or something more recent. I don't know, I've got so many options and I love so many of them!

Doing my final listen now. I'm fairly certain about my 1-4 pointers and 13-18, but I'm still undecided about 5-12! Five entries will end up on my commiserations list.

Greenfroze has voted!🥳 I actually had ILLIT and It's Me as one of my main potentials this time, but decided not to send it for two reasons: I figured it might've been too much (tiresome) for most people, and I'm just so hooked on my current entry that I couldn't justify NOT sending that above anything else. It's Me has grown on me, surprisingly enough. It's so immediate and energetic and erratic I didn't think it possible, but here we are. I also considered sending one of three songs by Annette Pfab. Wherever I Go was my third favorite of hers. And lastly, I had another song by Meg Smith on my list as well and have been for a while. It just never came out on top. Hadn't heard this one, though, so a nicle little discovery there. I also hope Pestolia's Tsatsamis qualify. Because it's great and also to make up for the injustice done to Recreational. Kudos to Lotunia, btw, for sending something I see as a huge risk. A very cool risk at that which I hope pays off :)

I very much agree with this! I love music videos, and if it's a really good one, it might tip the scale if I like two songs equally and I need more factors to decide. A bad one or lack of one generally doesn't tip the scale in the other direction, though. Maybe if I REALLY hate it, hah, but that's quite rare :)

Sent something for now. I feel like sending a (K) pop banger again. I feel like I'm due a pop hit, and this one's been stuck in my head since I first heard it! It's been quite a while since I've sent something along the lines of "I'm Ready" by Chung Ha or "Na" by Hwasa, and it's something I generally love. But I might change it if any of my other potentials grow on me. We shall see. I have a main potentials list of 65 at the moment, so you never know! Some of the ones on top are various levels of glorious Japanese nicheness. Three of them are instrumentals, and one of them is something I've never sent before, which is just noise. J-noise. Made by some strange and retro instruments. It's a style of music I've never sent before, but I've been having some noise-curious moments as of late. It's weird, as that usually either makes me frustrated, sick to my stomach or rather sleepy (or give me suppressed nightmares about crying in a dumpster - where that kind of music usually festers), but I think it would be fun to try sometime. It feels like the right tune for me. Although it might be too structured and accessible (and short!) for noise bloc proper, though. If I do send it someday, I'm obviously hoping for an 18 by Elëdan in the final😊😄

Ah, I remember having to crosscheck too a bit back when I hosted some 437 years ago. I also thought you meant include your own country name😆But I always include country names, artist names and song titles in my votes, as I just copy the opening list and rearrange them in Word as I do my listening sessions. Just assumed it was something everyone did, but I remembered otherwise now. Easy to forget if you do it otherwise, maybe.
