Point Break & Scooch – I had forgotten all about them! Flying the flag still remains a Eurovision classic for me! Rise – a classic Gabrielle track of course, really beautiful with the Bob Dylan sample on it. Bob Dylan waived 50% of the royalties on the track reasoning that he only provides the music therefore that was fair. I’m a big Gabrielle fan she really was sensational for a fair while.

Oh I'd definitely recommend giving Blue is the colour a listen to from Beautiful South, it's a great album!

There is an AI version of it as a Spice Girls song on youtube and it's amazing so I think you are right! 😂 I think the lyrics are a bit too cringey for a Spice Girls song at their peak but with some adaption to the lyrics, it wouldn't have sounded out of place as a Christmas single for a 1998 / 1999 Spice Girls album had they continued. I always have such a soft spot for Lift me up due to Geri using BSL as part of the songs promotions. As a deaf boy, I had never seen anyone in popular culture use sign language like this before and it made me feel so happy that she had. It is definitely one of the things that made me a huge Geri fan at the time. 🥰

I was thinking this, so many of them where the week before or week after #1 and #2 would have trounced them. Geri ironically losing out to another Irish boyband with Look at me would have beaten Westlife the week before. Then Mi Chico Latino knocking them off #1 would have also beaten them the week before. Geri, could have kept that 6 consecutive #1's record for Spice Girls and given herself 5 solo number ones if she had played a bit smarter! 🤭

I honestly don't get why they are hiring her for DJ sets tbh. Good for her but she is not some renowned DJ or even some hugely popular "celebrity character." Surely having her do her 2 number ones, When you're gone and a few Spice Girls #1s is more of a draw?

None of the girls managed to have all 4 of their bandmates present at their weddings! 3 bandmates Mel B & Jimmy (Emma, Melanie C & Victoria) Victoria & David (Emma, Mel B & Melanie C) Melanie C & Chris (Emma, Geri & Mel B) 1 bandmate Mel B & Rory (Emma) Geri & Christian (Emma) 0 bandmates Emma & Jade Mel B & Stephen Emma only had hers and Jade mother, 2 close friends and their children present. I believe she got married around Covid time so that may be why.
