  1. 1st - 20/29 Votes (68%) The Killers take the win here with 'Somebody Told Me' on 20 of 29 votes... it's the 2nd single from Hot Fuss which is about meeting someone at a club. It was released in 2004 and charted at #28 before being re-issued the following year and handing the band their first top 3 hit in the process. It's been nominated for two Grammy's as well as for the International Dance Music Awards. It was ranked 4th best track of 04 by Triple J. "The video has the band performing their song in the moonlight of a desert location, with a giant LED screen displaying scrolling characters and flashing images of their logo. The imagery in the video pays homage to that of "Crystal" by English alternative dance group New Order; the Killers named themselves after the fictitious band performing in the New Order video" 2nd - 9/29 Votes (31%) The sister of Daniel, Natasha Bedingfield lands 2nd with 'Unwritten' which charted at 6 in 2004 and then last year saw a chart revival thanks to inclusion in the film Anyone But You. The song was the theme to the MTV reality series The Hills and Natasha performed the track at the 2007 Concert For Diana. It's been featured in episodes of others shows like Ugly Betty and Pretty Little Liars and was part of the UEFA Euro 2004 montage clips which saw England lose to Portugal. 3rd: Madonna - Don’t Tell Me 20/31 votes (65%) 4th: Flip & Fill - Shooting Star 18/32 votes (56%) 5th: Alesha Dixon - The Boy Does Nothing 13/33 votes (39%) 6th: Sean Paul - Temperature 14/31 votes (45%) 7th: Feist - 1234 10/32 votes (31%) 8th: Cascada - What Hurts The Most 12/34 votes (35%) 9th: Nickelback - Someday 10/30 votes (33%) 10th: Westlife - What Makes A Man 21/33 votes (64%)
  2. Week 27 & 28 'By The Way' a strong return for the Chili's but I think I did prefer a couple of others over it from this era. Was great listening to the album a couple of years ago in this forum too. 'Just A Little Girl' is a pop rock classic for me too and the album was also rather good as well. 'I'm Gonna Be Alright' is great as well in the version radio pushed. 'Wherever You Will Go' is a great MOR rock song and have some added association with it via college. 'American English' is pleasant as is 'Tell It To My Heart'. 'Clubbed To Death' is really strong so a good choice for top song. 'The Day It Rained Forever' is nice enough. Enjoying the production for The Prodigy also, less keen on the lyrics as stated by others. 'Rip' is really intense but in a positive way and 'Shakalaka Baby' sounds like Eurovision mixed with Holly Valance's material lol. On the messy side for me though unforch.
  3. 'Rule The World' has held up better for me so that gets my vote!

Bayley is out of her match too. Also huge news in that they've purchased AAA. Wow!
  5. I had switched to Florence a couple of rounds ago and then went back to Hot Chip so now that's gone, back to Florence :P I like all of the other 4.
  6. Onto Jaimeson for me.
  7. Am voting for a Keane win but both are good.
  8. Week 26 The first three hits here are the best for me by far. 'Stop Crying Your Heart', 'When You Look At Me' and 'Hot In Herre' were all brilliant in their own ways and Mis-teeq's is fine but yeah one of their weakest for sure. 'Get Free' sounds solid too and am sure I've heard it before as it sounds familiar. The Athlete track is quite good as well.
  9. Haven't heard some of these on the list (including the Jack Black song yet) but voting for Charli and Liam Lynch.
  10. Black Pearl for me with Dead Man's Chest being next, basically 1 & 2 are the best.
  11. #110 1st = 21/36 Votes (58%) British Electronic group Hot Chip were ready to sweep the win here as their 2008 #6 hit 'Ready For The Floor' beats out the megastar Lady Gaga. The lyric 'You're My Number One Guy' comes from the influence of it being said in the first Tim Burton remake of the Batman movie and Alexis Taylor can be seen in the video alternating between a mild mannered tech wiz and The Joker. Some articles falsely claimed that Hot Chip were going to give Kylie Minogue this song but this was dismissed as they hadn't got in contact with Kylie to work on anything although they did say they'd consider handing her this track if it was to happen as it sounded the most suitable. 2nd = 15/36 Votes (41%) and the aforementioned Lady Gaga is runner up with 'LoveGame', the fourth release in the UK from The Fame which peaked at 19. Lyrically about a sexual attraction to a stranger in a club. For the music video it takes on the inspiration of the video for Michael Jackson's 'Bad' with Gaga donning Nazi Chic clothes. It was banned at the PG rated time slots on the music channels in Australia because of it's sexual content. 3rd: Kanye West & Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger 16/33 votes (48%) 4th: Max Graham VS Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart 14/32 votes (44%) 5th: Pink - Trouble 12/32 votes (38%) 6th: Ms Dynamite - It Takes More 16/33 votes (48%) 7th: The Manic Street Preachers - The Masses Against The Classes 9/33 votes (27%) 8th: BBMak - Back Here 20/30 votes (67%) 9th: Blue - Curtain Falls 15/32 votes (47%) 10th: Natasha Bedingfield - I Wanna Have Your Babies 15/31 votes (48%)
  12. Madonna for me.
  13. 'All Time Love' for me. Both that and 'Who Am I' are among my fave Will songs. I do like the Arctics track as well though and Beyoncé's is also fine.
  14. Voting 'Song 4 Mutya' now.
