Graham Coxon - Love Travels at Illegal Speeds (2006) 76. Idlewild - The Remote Part (2002) OK 'Your New Favourite Band' is actually a compilation, but when I got it I listened to it loads, so it gets it's place on this list, made me really love The Hives, 'Hate To Say I Told You So', 'Main Offender', 'Die Alright', 'The Hives are Law and You are Crime', and basically every other track, I love, everytime I listen to it now memories flow back and I remember, just how much I love The Hives. 'Give Me A Wall' was a great debut by Forward Russia, highlights for me include 'Fifteen' (both parts), 'Twelve', 'Seventeen' and 'Nine'. 'Meteora' is the best album by Linkin Park by far, really showed how good they were musically after 'Hybrid Theory', I love the mix of Chester's amazing vocals, and Mike Shinoda's great creative rap, I know every word of 'Faint' off my heart, I love it! Graham Coxon had me from the first bar of 'Standing On My Own Again', I f***ing love 'Love Travels at Illegal Speeds', it got me pretty obsessed with graham Coxon, I soon brought every album of his I didnt already have, it is a brilliant album, and everyone should get it. 'The Remote Part' is an amazing album that I can listen to and love over and over and over, I dont think I expected much of it at the start, but some tracks are just plain amazing, 'American English' is one of the most amazing tracks ever. 2_ukeAM2lsw fZn18rLlEXk LYU-8IFcDPw

The Flaming Lips - Yoshmishi Battles The Pink Robots (2002) 71. Billy Talent - Billy Talent II (2006) First of all, 'Print Is Dead' an amazing album showing yourcodenameis:milo's best material with a mix of guest musicians giving a unique flavour to the album, a variety of styles make it overall very intersting to listen to, every track is brilliant aswell. 'Bleed American' is a brilliant album from Jimmy Eat World, some really underated but great songs, such as 'A Praise Chorus' and 'Get It Faster'. 'Panic Prevention' was an astonishing debut album from Jamie T, showed some faith for British musicans, he is a real talent and a great songwriter taking a variety of influences. 'Yoshmishi Battles The Pink Robots' is one of the best indie albums of the past decade, so much more interesting that the rest of indie at the time, and featured some amazing songwriting (see 'Do You Realise?' and 'Yoshmishi Battles the Pink Robots'. 'Billy Talent II' showed that the band could improve furthur, with a heavier darker sound, I remember first hearing 'Devil In A Midnight Mass' and being blown away. xIWPpOkkkq4 QrIGEd9eBk0 b7myRdqG4VM
December 15, 200915 yr Yourcodename album/project is very good. A couple of weaker tracks but some awesome ones as well. Bleed American is also very good.
December 15, 200915 yr 'Bleed American' has some really great songs on it, it wasn't far off being in my countdown. Great to see Idlewild in there, I hope it won't be their last appearance?

Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris (2007) 66. Hundred Reasons - Ideas Above Our Station (2002) 'Primary Colours' completly tore me off my feet this year, I was into them the first time around but went off them, then I heard 'Sea Within A Sea' and wow f***ing wow, what a development for a band, just plain amazing, a very very strong album. 'All Hope Is Gone' really showed just how amazing Slipknot are, they are all brilliant musicians, Corey is a great vocalist, and this album is just brilliant, end of. 'Down In Albion' is a great album, I dont care what anyone says, 'Albion' is a beautiful track, it showed Peter could make music well without Carl, 'Pipedown', 'Killamangiro', great tracks, overall a very good album, but isnt a touch on either Libertines album, a lot better than the Dirty Pretty Things albums. I get the feeling a lot of people didnt like 'Era Vulgaris' but I love it, from the first time I heard the first chord of 'Sick Sick Sick' I was ready for another great album, 'Misfit Love' is a highlight too. I remember first getting 'Ideas Above Our Station', such a great album, 'Silver', 'If I Could', 'Falter', 'I'll Find You', 'Avalanche', so amny good tracks, a brilliant underated album. December 22, 200915 yr I love 'Era Vulgaris' so much. Especally 'Suture Up Your Future','3s & 7s' and 'Running Joke'. I'll write a proper comment on your countdown when you've finished, but it's looking pretty good so far. :D
December 22, 200915 yr Author 65. Gallows - Orchestra of Wolves (2006) 64. 59. The Cribs - Men's Needs, Women's Needs Whatever (2007) 63. Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) 62. Gorillaz - Gorillaz (2001) 61. The Young Knives - Voices of Animals and Men (2006) When Gallows appeared with their album 'Orchestra of Wolves' they gave us a fresh sound to punk in the decade, no hardcore punk released in the last 10 years even comes close to this powerful album, raw, basic and dark as f***, it is a brilliant album every punk fan must own. 'Men's needs...' is a brilliant indie album, fast, fresh and just plain addictive, I could listen to this album, over and over and over, so many perfect tracks. 'The Marshall Mathers LP' is Eminem at a height in music, this dark, gritty album brings up some horrifying themes, but it is where his art really comes through, 'Stan' is an amazing piece of music, so brutal, so well written. 'Gorillaz' really showed that Damon Albarn was more than just 'that singer from Blur', the album really showed some unqiue music, crossed many genres aswell, which is always good, and I always loved the mythos of the band. 'Voices of Animals and Men' isnt the best album ever but when it came out I was really really really into The Young Knives for some reason, so this album has a special place for me, has some great tracks too, 'Shes Attracted To', 'Loughbough Suicide', 'Weekend and Bleak Days'. fulTIh3toMQ 4Ozb39Bgh9w X3cxEt4GiCI
December 22, 200915 yr 'Primary Colours' 'Down In Albion' wasn't a bad album, I didn't like it too much either though, Cribs, Young Knives, Eminem and Gorillaz also good.

Willy Mason - Where The Humans Eat (2004) 56. Bloc Party - Intimacy (2008) 'Happiness In Magazines' is a brilliant album from Blue guitarist Graham Coxon, featuring his most famous track 'Freakin Out', his best track, 'Bittersweet Bundle of Misery', and other highlights such as 'Spectactular' and 'No Good Time'. 'The 59 Sound' is a f***ing BRILLIANT album, I can listen to it non stop for hours, it's so well written, so addictive, this band are good, like really good, everyone should get this album, and listen to it over and over, learn every f***ing word, it's an amazing album, a must have. 'The New Fellas' is, in my opinon, The Cribs at there best, so many good tracks on this album, 'Mirror Kissers', 'Hey Scenesters', 'Martell', ah f*** it, every song is great, 'The Wrong Way To Be' is their best track by far too. 'Where The Humans Eat' is an amazing album that I love to bits, Willy Mason is an amazing songwriter, 'Oxygen' and 'So Long' are soooooo good, easily one of the best folk acts to come out this decade. Bloc Party finally make an entrance at number 56 with their 3rd album 'Intimacy', this album really showed that Bloc Party are more than just a one genre band, they can explore more styles of music than the average band does, and thats what I like in a band, and the material is still brilliant, OK far from 'Silent Alarm' but it's still great, You cant beat a bit of 'Ares' or 'Halo'. nBSawyBHS_o BEfTdjFhr5A _2OO_VScdTw
December 23, 200915 yr Loving The Horrors, Hundred Reasons, and Cribs albums. Eminem, Gorillaz and Gallows to a lesser extent. Intimacy is amazing.

Flight of the Conchords - Flight of the Conchords (2008) 52. Boxcar Racer - Boxcar Racer (2002) 51. Art Brut - Bang Bang Rock and Roll (2005) So we have our first NIN entry, with the 2000 remix album 'Things Falling Apart', it isnt the best NIN release, but still pretty good (well, it is NIN isnt it), it features their superb cover of the Gary Numan song 'Metal', although it is better live (especially when Gary Numan is there like when I saw it live), the Danny Lohner remix of 'Where Is Everybody' is very good too. 'Lullabies To Paralyze' is another QOTSA album I get the impression that many people dont like (apart from the singles), I was listening to it not long ago and realised it is a really really good album, obviously no 'Songs For The Deaf' but it has it's highlights such as 'Someones In The Wolf' and 'Everybody Knows That Your Insane', some immesnly good songs. 'Flight of the Conchords' is just plain amazing, comedy genius, mixed with great playing, aswell as making you laugh, FOTC are an extremly musically talented pair, this album is the comedy soundtrack of my life, I know every word off by heart, highlight is 'Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymnoceros', followed by 'Robots' and 'Boom'. 'Box Car Racer' is a brilliant album, and is just as good as all the blink albums, so many good tracks and great guest performances from Tim Armstrong and Mark Hoppus, 'There Is', 'Elevator', 'Cat Like Theif', 'I Feel So' are all highlights, the album really shows off Tom Delonge's writing skills, it would of been a lot better if post-blink he carried on Box Car Racer rather than create Angels and Airwaves. 'Bang Bang Rock and Roll' is a great album, so good to shout along too, some brilliant lyrics, some addictive songs, 'Formed a Band', 'Emily Kane', 'My little Brother', 'Modern Art', 'Bang Bang Rock and Roll'. uvA0UBesfbY HKok218Ofio ZbbxA8a_M_s

December 24, 200915 yr Author 50. Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero Remixed (2007) 49. Pete and the Pirates - Little Death (2008) 48. The Nightwatchman - One Man Revolution (2007) So top 50 starts with NIN's second entry, and another remix album, 'Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D', this featured some brilliant remixes from the likes of Saul Williams, Modwheelmood, Ladytron and Olaf Dreijer (from The Knife) who bring the standout remixes from the album, it's no 'Furthur Down The Spiral' but as NIN remix collections go, this is pretty damn good, a great addition to the Year Zero era of NIN. 'Little Death' is a brilliant and underated album from a local band of mine, Pete and the Pirates, at the time of release there was nothing interesting going on in indie music, infact it had all got a bit boring then this band came out with this amazing album, I was OBSESSED with 'Mr Understanding', and other tracks such as 'Knots' are also genius, some of the hooks on this album are just TOO good, I reccomend this album to any indie fan in need of something new. 'One Man Revolution' is the first album Tom Morello has gone solo, and in true folk protesting form, Morello knows what he thinks, and he will present it in song form, he knows his right, and he knows everyone deserves freedom, and it comes across in this album, he knows the world is f***ed, it's great to hear Tom singing aswell, behind the superstar uber talented guitariest their is a folk musician, and he is good. yrBfPLUm5so 14_U78314T8 SV-tWL_mysE

'Tenacious D' is just plain lol, 'cock pushups' has me laughing every time, some ace tracks too, of course 'Tribute' and also 'Rock Your Socks' and 'Lee', miles better than their follow up. Slipknot's third album is far from anything off 'Iowa' or 'Slipknot', but it's still a brilliant album, 'Duality' was over played as f*** at the time, but looking back it is a really really good track. 'Toxicity' is an amazing album, really showed how good System were, such ace tracks include 'Chop Suey', 'Toxicity', 'Prison Song', 'Deer Dance' and 'Psycho'. Yeah sorry not much to say on these albums. 3voawEb6Xgw 6fVE8kSM43I ODi_c9MytqA

December 26, 200915 yr Author 44. Placebo - Black Market Music (2000) 43. Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up! (2002) 42. Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been (2002) 'Black Market Music' is Placebo at their best, and I dont care if some $h!t reviewer from pitchfork gave it somethinglike 2.4/10, pitchfork are c**ts, 'Black market Music' has some of Placebo's far best material on it, such as 'Special K', ' Black Eyed' and 'Spite and Malice', some excellently written tracks, and excellently performed. 'Cheer Up' is one of my favourite RBF albums, it's no mid-90's RBF but it's still brilliant, it has their superb song 'Where Have You Been?' on it, and other highlights include 'Drunk Again', 'Ban The Tube Top', 'Somebody Loved Me', 'Cheer Up' and 'Dateless Losers'. 'And All That Could Have Been' is an AMAZING live album from a band you all know I love, recorded during the amazing Fragility tour, it has some amazing re-structures of songs, and is all round, a brilliant live album. 1BGC4tMRkCY HUlr3Vwvy04 x4cjDUrvqYU
