Posted November 28, 200915 yr THANK GOD IT'S BLACK FRIDAY Susan Boyle Climbs Past 625k, Approaches 675k, Lambert #2, Lady Gaga Two in Top 10 November 27, 2009 Steve Barnett's Columbia Records and Susan Boyle have a lot to be thankful for this weekend. And that goes for you two, Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga. Going into the weekend, Simon Cowell's gal Boyle is a runaway for #1 on next Tuesday's HITS Album Sales chart, with a total almost three times her closest competitor, 19/RCA/ RMG's Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream is on target for between 625-675k in sales, which would be the year's biggest debut, besting Eminem's 608k for his Relapse album. Lambert's For Your Entertainment looks like a lock for #2 with between 210-230k. The week's other big story is Interscope's Lady Gaga, whose seven-song Fame Monster EP will sell between 190-210k, good enough for #3, while her just-released two-disc Fame Monster deluxe edition should add another 130-150k to that album's total. Decca's Andrea Bocelli is the lone Top 5 holdover at 180-200k, where he's running neck-and-neck with Def Jam/IDJ diva Rihanna's critically acclaimed Rated R with the same estimated total. The rest of the chart looks a little something like this, pending weekend traffic: Susan Boyle - I Dreamed A Dream - 625-675k (NEW)Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment - 210-230k (NEW)Lady GaGa - Fame Monster EP - 190-210k (NEW)Lady GaGa - Fame Monster (Deluxe) - 130-150k (NEW)Andrea Bocelli - My Christmas - 180-200kRihanna - Rated R - 180-200k (NEW)Carrie Underwood - Play On - 100-120kJohn Mayer - Battle Studies - 90-110kShakira - She Wolf - 85-100k (NEW)50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct - 85-100kTwilight Saga: New Moon - 85-100kNorah Jones - The Fall - 85-100kTaylor Swift - Fearless - 85-100kMichael Jackson - This Is It - 75-90kCasting Crowns - Peace on Earth 75-90kTaylor Swift - Holiday Collection 75-90k http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi
November 28, 200915 yr Amazing sales for Susan but the real suprise for me was Adam Lambert :o I thought he'd do about 150k and come in below GaGa & Rih. A solid week for GaGa too ^_^ By the way Fame Monster (Deluxe) should be under Brocelli & Rihanna
November 28, 200915 yr Wow! No surpise for SuBo though. Great for Lady GaGa! Taylor Swift is still going strong, since last year - amazing!
November 28, 200915 yr great to see Adam Lambert outperforming American idol winner Kris Allen :puke2: by a milestone...which proves how wrong the americans were by not choosing Adam as the winner... Amazing for Susan Boyle too... massive numbers for her all over the world...The Brit Diva rules :yahoo: !!!! Edited November 28, 200915 yr by Big Mistake
November 29, 200915 yr If Susan wasn't released this Week and Adam went to #1 that would be even more embarassing for Kris Allen. Not to suprised though as I've heard far more about Adam than Kris.
November 29, 200915 yr I'm really suprised at Adam outpeaking Kris. Controversy sells records :kink: Plus the fact that Adam Lambert's album is amazing and I am even considering picking it up in HMV here in the UK. 30 second clips of that Allen guy's album on iTunes were enough to bore me to tears. November 29, 200915 yr I'm really suprised at Adam outpeaking Kris. you shouldn't be, Adam has released a far superior pop-electro-rock  album which sounds like a cross between Robbie Williams, Queen, Mika & Scissor Sisters :music: while Kris Allen's debut album is a snoozefest filled with some of The Script's B-Sides remakes and rejects from a Garth Brooks repertoire from the early 90's... Edited November 29, 200915 yr by Big Mistake
