Robbie Williams's hairstylist found dead in woods weeks after Angels star returned to LA

Robbie Williams' hairdresser and former lodger has been found hanged in woodland in an apparent suicide just weeks after the pop star left the country and the pair had a 'major row', it emerged this afternoon.

Aaron Vickers was discovered by an horrified teenager in Swindon at 8am on Monday.

The 25-year-old Briton first met Williams during a trip to Los Angeles.

Close friends say Aaron rented a small wooden cabin on the singer's £8.5 million Wiltshire estate over the summer until a disagreement a month ago. It is not thought the pair fell out directly.

It today emerged Aaron, who was born and raised in Swindon, was declared bankrupt earlier this year.

The hairdresser is believed to have met Williams through mutual friend Jonathan Wilkes during a visit to Los Angeles and he cut the star's hair.

Robbie, 35, is understood to be in the process of selling seven-bedroom Compton Bassett House after moving back to LA to live with homesick fiancee Ayda Field.

Removal teams were seen the mansion last month and removed most, if not all, of the contents.

Robbie bought the estate - complete with a helicopter hangar, temples and fountains - in February.

Wilkes lives in nearby Wootton Bassett and runs a dance academy with his wife Nikki in Swindon.

A source said: 'The pair became close after Aaron cut Robbie's hair when he was working for a short time in LA and they immediately struck up a close friendship.

'But they had a big row in the summer and Aaron moved out.

'It's really tragic what has happened and I'm sure Robbie will be gutted when he hears the news. They got on great until the falling out.'

Mr Vickers was last seen by his partner at 1am on Monday, when he said he was going for a walk.

The 16-year-old girl told of the moment she found him hanged in a woodland copse just off a country path at 8am.

The teenager said: 'I was on my way to work and was running late so I went through the woods. It was just getting light.

'I started crying but was frozen. I called everyone I knew but no-one answered.

'Finally, I got through to my dad. He helped out. I have been a wreck all day - I can't eat - it's as though I am caught in a nightmare.'

Robbie Williams WILL go back on tour! Yay!

Heat World

Oh yes, you read right. After all the speculation over whether Robbie Williams will or will not tour again, we finally have our answer – and it's what we all hoped for! This morning, Robbie himself admitted, "I will be going on tour" and "it'll definitely be before 2012". The You Know Me singer revealed this very exciting information at an intimate gig at BBC Broadcasting House in London, where he played hits including Bodies, Come Undone, Feel and the fantastic Starstruck from Robbie's new album Reality Killed The Video Star – to an audience of just over 300 fans. The audience screamed and whooped at the news (naturally) and also watched in awe as Rob cracked jokes, answered a few questions from fans and kept referring to his girlfriend (or fiancee, maybe) Ayda Field as “baby” as she watched on from the side of the stage. Aww! Rob was also full of praise for Olly Murs, admitting that he thinks the Essex singer will win The X Factor this weekend. One thing's for sure, Robbie is a happy man these days and has his feet firmly on the ground – we didn’t think it was possible, but we love him even more now.

*Don’t forget Robbie’s new single You Know Me is out this week. And you can listen to Robbie’s whole performance on Ken Bruce’s Radio 2 show by clicking here.

X Factor's new judge could be Robbie Williams

EXCLUSIVE by Lara Gould, TV Editor 13/12/2009

Simon Cowell plans to sign Robbie Williams as a fifth X Factor judge.

The move is one of a raft of changes to the ratings-topping show.

Cowell has warned he’ll take the series OFF AIR if ITV bosses don’t cough up the extra £300,000 a week he needs for the revamp, which also includes:

 ADDING a fifth judge to the line-up to avoid heavily-criticised deadlocks.

 UPPING the number of finalists from 12 to 16.

 EXTENDING the series by a month.

 MOVING the live shows to London’s Wembley Arena

 REPLACING Dannii with a new female judge.

As the two remaining acts prepared to go head-to-head tonight, Cowell said: “A lot of things are going to change next year if we bring the show back. The show needs to change or it starts to fail.

“I like Robbie Williams. He’d make a good judge. He’s fun, he’s got good instincts, he doesn’t take himself too seriously and he’s a fun guy to be around.”

Tonight a record of more than 20 million viewers are expected to tune in as The X Factor reaches its dramatic climax.

Cowell wants to axe Dannii, 38, because he is fed up of being upstaged by Kylie’s younger sister.

A source said: “Simon has a downer on Dannii. He says he wants women to be feisty and opinionated but when they are he doesn’t like it.

“He doesn’t feel in control. At the moment he can’t stand her.”

The show’s current home at Fountain Studios can seat 600 fans a week but the Arena, which is just five minutes away, can hold up to 12,000 fans a night. The plans to switch venue would cost ITV an extra £300,000 a week, which Cowell is in the process of negotiating.

But Cowell yesterday warned he would axe The X Factor for good if the budget demands weren’t met.

“If we didn’t reach a deal with ITV then I would simply take a break – it’s as simple as that,” he said. “I wouldn’t work for anyone else apart from ITV.

“I’m not looking for a pay rise. All I’ve asked for is an increase in budget. We need to hire more dancers and stylists. We need more people working on the show and that costs money. I need that commitment from ITV.”

Despite the threat Cowell assured fans he would be back on the panel if the deal is hammered out.

He also plans to sit on the panel of the US version of the X Factor when it launches in 2011. “I’m looking at a lot of ideas of how to make things better, what works and what doesn’t,” he added.

“I’m not going to step down. I like being on the show because at the end of the day you can protect the whole process.

“I have a lot at stake and when you sit there you can get involved and that’s probably the best thing about being a judge.

“My gut feeling is that X Factor will be on US TV in 18 months and I would like to be on the panel, that’s the plan.”

The success of the show, which has pulled in 14 million viewers twice a week over three months, has helped turn around the fortunes of ITV and the show has trounced BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in the winter ratings battle.

Cowell said the ballroom series had become victim of its own success and spent too much time copying the X Factor rather than focusing on its own brand.

“We didn’t get involved in a silly ratings war with the BBC which I think helped us,” he said. “We just looked at our own show and forgot about them.

“I saw too many elements of our show in their show. You don’t need to do that. They took themselves too seriously and they shot themselves in the foot.”

The winner of tonight’s show will be decided on the public’s vote alone. And they will include votes cast last night, prior to the third act being sent home.

Last night Stacey Solomon sang Feeling Good with Michael Buble and Wonderful World and Who Wants To Live Forever.

Olly Murs performed Angels with Robbie Williams and Superstition and Fool In Love. And Joe McElderry sang Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me with George Michael and Dance With My Father and Sorry Seems The Hardest Word.

Robbie Williams announces long-awaited tour as he refuses to confirm or deny X Factor rumours By Jody Thompson, Mirror.co.uk 17/12/2009

Robbie Williams has revealed he does plan on touring new album Reality Killed The Video Star - but not until 2011.

Talking live on GMTV this morning. Speaking on the breakfast TV show, Robbie said: "At the moment there’s a big tour planned and I’m looking forward to it".

But when asked when it would be, the singer admitted: "Not next year, the year after"’.

However, he refused to confirm or deny that he was joining the programme as a judge.

Robbie joked: "I’d like to confirm that that’s a goer… no, I’m alright for the time being!"

Nevertheless, he did say that both he and girlfriend Ayda have been hooked.

Robbie confessed: "X Factor has been the centre of the universe for the last 2 months.

"Me and the Mrs, we’ve been watching it every Saturday and every Sunday and voting and getting excited and upset when our favourites go etc, etc."

Robbie also denied recent rumours that he recently got engaged to girlfriend Ayda Field, which even had his mum Jan convinced that he son was set to walk up the aisle.

He then likened his lady to a phone application for Christmas shopping saying, "She’s gone out and done everything. She’s like an app that you get that does everything for you – it’s brilliant."

One lucky audience member got an extra special surprise at the filming of the Top Of The Pops Christmas Special last week.

Robbie Williams decided to make a young girl's year by pulling her up on stage during his rendition of You Know Me - sending her back into the crowd after a lingering peck on the cheek.

Lucky her, eh?

Anyway, it sounds like the Robster's been busy preparing for the festive season.

"We do quizzes at our house at Christmas," he says. "Me and my dad actually write all the quizzes too. He goes really overboard printing pictures from the internet. You should see my dad - he takes it so seriously, shouting at everyone not to cheat."

Robbie Williams dumped girlfriend Ayda Field 3 times

By Lara Gould 27/12/2009

Robbie Williams dumped girlfriend Ayda Field THREE TIMES because he was so scared of settling down.

The Angels singer says he finally overcame his fears after Ayda won over his bachelor dad - and now can't wait to marry the American actress and eventually have kids. He said: "We broke up about three times in the first year because of me not trusting and not knowing that I really needed this and really wanted it.

"I will bolt at any sign of anything. And if there wasn't one I'd make one up. With Ayda I kept looking for one. But she just kept on being this wonderful person.

"My dad met her and as he was leaving he turned to me and said, 'You're in trouble there, son' - as there was no reason to bolt. After a while I just saw what was there: A massive-hearted, lovely human being who wants to take care of me and I want to do the same for her.

"In my song Won't Do That To You I call her 'My Swiss army girlfriend, my Swiss army wife'. The moment I sang that in the studio was the moment I committed myself to the relationship. I went into the recording booth a singleton and came out in a committed relationship with somebody I'm going to marry."

The former Take That star, 35, said he was looking forward to becoming a dad - but feared he was not up to the job.

He added: "Ayda wants to go for it straight away. But I want Ayda to myself for as long as I can because I'm selfish. It will happen, but it won't be soon."

He also said he remains dependent on anti-depressants, adding: "You get suicidal when you come off them. There's a buzzing and weird things start happening. It's very scary."

Williams: 'I'm still dependent on pills'

Robbie Williams has revealed that he is still dependent on medication.

The 'You Know Me' singer, who is currently dating actress Ayda Field, said that he is hooked on anti-depressants because he feels "suicidal" when he stops taking them.

"You get suicidal when you come off them. There's a buzzing, and weird things start happening. It's very scary," The Mirror quotes Williams as saying.

Williams gave up painkillers such as Vicodin after checking into an Arizona rehab centre in 2007.
