To be fair its impossible to tell with percentages. Just as an example if both Alex and Joe were to sell 100,000 copies in one day and the #2 in Alex's year was on 50,000 and the #2 in Joe's year was on 60,000 then the percentages are gonna look different. We won't know anything and won't be able to work anything out until tomorrow

 

Looking at the pop bars, "Rage Against the Machine" are currently selling about 80% of "Joe's" total.

X Factor didn't have a Sunday show last year. There is more chance of higher average ratings on a Sunday when no one is out.

 

My point was that the song will have had more expsoure ie to 19m compared to Alex's which had immediate exposure to 14m viewers

 

I do agree with you I dont think Joe is going to sell anywhere near Alex's amount though

Last years final was on a Saturday, most people go out on a Saturday night. The audience would have been the same last year if the final was on a Sunday. It cannot be denied last year was more popular.

 

What? Like it's daft to deny Gaga's original? It can be denied. It is clear this year (Saturdays AND Sundays) is more popular than last year. Having said that, last year had the superior overall talent. As well as the more talented/versatile winner.

 

If there is one thing i agree about though, it is that last year's ratings would have been higher if aired on a Sunday. But not 19.7 million. More like 17/18 million. Your argument is kinda killed by the fact that the saturday shows this year beat the saturday shows last year in the ratings.

What a crap chart this week will be, tbh I don't really care who charts where this week.. I mean, it's only the Christmas chart, it's not like it means anything tbh. -_-

 

 

Miley's The Climb will always be the best. She currently at #29 and #76. hope she 'climbs up the mountain' into the top 20 at least.

Joe will have no physicals. Britser is talking about the midweeks on Tuesday. The physical is not released until Wednesday(or maybe Thursday).

Ratings does not mean a show is popular. Big Brother 4 was one of the highest rated Big Brothers yet is regarded as the worst series of Big Brother.

This year is widely regarded as the worst series of X Factor by the media, fans and just general overall feeling.

One of the main reasons the viewing figures have been so high is due to the superior guests this year.

The conestants however are the least popular since X Factor 1 which was just a new show.

Anyway, this isn't iTunes related but i'll keep it short. The media have loved this series. Jedmania. Danyl and all his antics. The live auditions. Live bootcamp. Controversial contestants. And the fans don't think it's the worst one from what i know. I have no idea where you got that from. Maybe it's just your OPINION. :)

2008: 72,317 Leona Lewis - Run (Xmas week)

 

2009: 72, 919 Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (Last week but imagine similar sales this week)

I don't feel the Media have classed this as one of the worst series, I certainly think it only worse in contestants to last years. Yes, obviously Leona was better in Series 3, but take her out and what an awful year that would have been, Series 2 was probably on a par with this year. But 1, 3 and 4 on a whole were pretty average.

Last year was just insane when you look back at it though, and there'll probably never be another year like that.
