December 18, 200915 yr Author Amazing success. U2 the only other act aside from Madge to sell out every single show. And it really makes me laugh considering the amount of delusional people who are under the illusion that Coldplay are the biggest band in the world, that they have not crossed anywhere in the region of U2 despite doing 22 more shows. More than half of their dates were not even sold out despite mainly being in arenas.Considering income from CD sales is so low these days compared to tours this proves what a joke the notion is of them being biggest especially when U2 have sold more albums as well this decade.

February 9, 201015 yr From http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a20...ow-of-2009.html U2 tour voted 'best stage show of 2009' Tuesday, February 9 2010, 21:43 GMT By Oli Simpson U2's '360' world tour has been crowned the best stage show of 2009. The mammoth trek won the prize - voted for by stage crews - at the Total Production International Awards this week, BBC News reports The famous 'claw' stage design featured a completely visible 360-degree rotating stage, giving the audience an unobstructed view of the band at all times. "It is a massive engineering feat - from scenery to video to audio, with the biggest PA system that has ever been seen on a tour," the magazine's editor-in-chief Mark Cunningham said of the endeavour. "It's a fantastic achievement and the four members of U2 are effectively the icing on the cake." U2's '360' jaunt will resume in Frankfurt on August 10. :D

The band leads the US Billboard's 2010 Money Makers list, earning more than 108 million US dollars (£71 million) in 2009. Bruce Springsteen is second with 57 million US dollars (£37 million) and Madonna follows with 47 million US dollars (£31 million). AC/DC and Britney Spears round out the top five with 43 million US dollars (£28 million) and 38 million US dollars (£24 million ), respectively.
