Dear god. You can tell my social life is going down the pan. Not only do I have that ridiculously long Top 300 of the decade chart to finish, but im also starting this, a top 100 countdown of the year 2009. Maybe I should take up knitting instead.

Anyway, hopefully this one will be more successful than last years which lasted up until ApriL. Im hoping we'll be finished with this by a few days tbh as id quite like to finish both countdowns as soon as possible.

Ego is being included because basically it spent 5 weeks at #1 and will probably get a sixth before 2010 has even started. Echo and a few other 2010 releases haven’t been included.

 

Oh and there isnt going to be an album countdown. Because 2009 was a dire year for albums.

 

Singles wise though, it has been mostly amazing and so much better than 2008 could ever have hoped to have been. The quality dipped hugely towards the last few months though and perhaps that will show in the countdown.
