Posted December 22, 200915 yr I'm currently trying to gather a collection of short songs to see how many I can get on to one 80 minute cd. The only rules are that they have to be full songs - no skits or album intros. Songs should be post-1974 The have to be loudish because the whole thing has to come across like a great punky compilation - bang - bang - bang - over. I want suggestions of songs that are less than 3 minutes long - the shorter the better so I can fit more on the cd. So far The White Stripes - Fell in Love with a Girl Therapy - Screameger The Smiths - The Charmless Man The Undertones - Teeage Kicks Green Day - She The Jam - Going Underground Muse - In Your World Primal Scream - Miss Lucifer The Libertines - Up the Bracket Suede - Moving Blur - Song 2 Blondie - Hanging on the Telephone Placebo - Teenage Angst Elastica - Connection Any more?

December 30, 200915 yr yeah i only ever heard the way we get by because it was on the oc, but ive recently heard REALLY good things about them - what's their best album to start with? Probably Killing the Moonlight. Or Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. ;o KtM seems to fit the mold of what you're looking for here. Also give 'I Turn My Camera On' from Gimme Fiction. Another good band with short indie songs are The Mountain Goats. My personal favorites are 'Magpie', 'Dance Music', and 'See America Right'.
