January 12, 201015 yr Amy MacDonald 'nervous about new album' Tuesday, January 12 2010, 21:13 GMT By Oli Simpson Rex Features Amy MacDonald has confessed that she is nervous about how fans will react to her upcoming second album. The Scottish singer-songwriter's latest single 'Don't Tell Me That It's Over' debuted on radio this week and the 22-year-old revealed that she is feeling apprehensive in the build-up to the record's release in March. "It's really nerve-wracking actually and I feel pressure," MacDonald told the Daily Record. "I didn't feel under pressure when I was writing or recording the album which people normally feel pressurised with. "But it's weird thinking how people will react when they hear it on the radio." MacDonald continued to say that she has not yet confirmed a title for her new album, the follow-up to 2007's This Is The Life. "The name that we are leaning towards is A Curious Thing - but we've not decided yet," she added. "I was just sitting going through all the new songs and really listening intently to the lyrics and that's a line from one of the songs that I thought sounded quite nice as an album title."
January 13, 201015 yr I really like the new single, sounds like a grower too - not sure that it will be a hit though, but the album should do well based on the success of the last one if nothing else
January 13, 201015 yr Author First single added to the first post. It's f***ing EPIC. This is something incredible. Definitely my favourite comeback of the year. Not even so far, it shall remain this 'til the very end of 2k10. Gorgeous girl keep it goin' Edited January 13, 201015 yr by Pavel
January 13, 201015 yr Doesn't sound like much of a progression from her first album, but that's not a problem cuz her first album was amazing.
February 3, 201015 yr She's SO thin now :o Has she been sick or something, it's impressive how she's changed :o Like the song and video though :)
February 3, 201015 yr i really like it and her, there is a great quality to her voice like its untamed but heartfelt at the same time. a breath of fresh air different from many other slicker pop voices that clog up the charts. its really good to have her back, the masterpiece of "lets start a band" is still epic for me. a rare perfect 10
February 12, 201015 yr ^^ She really is! I wasn't a huge fan of the singles from her first album, I thought they were good but nothing more. Loving 'Don't Tell Me That It's Over' though!
March 2, 201015 yr http://images.play.com/covers/13027920x.jpg :o Amy is so beautiful! I preferred her more natural look on her debut album artwork  I'm not keen on the heavy makeup look...
March 5, 201015 yr I'm actually starting to like her. She's one of the only female artists who isn't just meshing in with the pop industry.
March 8, 201015 yr hmm...bought this album today, just listened to it and I don't like it anywhere near as much as the debut on first listen :( no singles are really jumping out at me either...
March 9, 201015 yr This is album is much stronger than her first imo. Which is saying something as her first was very good too. I think this album flows better. Hope it does well, as i hope she can stay around in the mainstream for a long long time. She's a breath of fresh air and doesn't rely on hit writers and producers, as every song is self-written. I love how it's just her and her songs only, no gimmicks.
