January 1, 201015 yr 9. Beyonce - Sweet Dreams Charted: 19-07-09 Chart Run: 16-9-4-2-2-2-2-3-8-10-12-13-19-20-29-37-40 [17 wks] Sales Peak: #5 Airplay Peak: #2 Multichart Peak: #3 tcjgWmKC6MM Here is another song that failed to make number one on this chart, stuck in 2nd place behind the Black Eyed Peas (one of the longest running number ones of the year) for 4 weeks! This is the 2nd, but not last, appearance of Beyonce in the Top 40.
January 1, 201015 yr 8. Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow Charted: 03-05-09 Chart Run: 39-28-9-2-1-1-2-3-3-6-9-13-18-20-28-25-37-39 [18 wks] Sales Peak: #1 (2 weeks) Airplay Peak: #4 Multichart Peak: #1 (3 weeks) 4m48GqaOz90 Not one of my favourite songs of the year, but here it is! This spent two consecutive weeks at the top in this chart, and three perhaps unexpected weeks at number one on the multichart. As you'd probably expect, this isn't the last appearance from the Black Eyed Peas on the chart of the year. Okie dokie, it's over to Tom soon for the rest of the chart :)
January 1, 201015 yr Author OK, top 7 time, we are GO! 7. Lady GaGa - Paparazzi Charted: 14-06-09 Chart Run: 17-7-7-2-2-1-2-2-3-5-6-10-13-18-22-24 [16 wks] Sales Peak: #4 Airplay Peak: #1 (1 week) Multichart Peak: #1 (2 weeks) QgKrzdaDQMw It's been a phenomenal year for Gaga in the UK, across the world and ESPECIALLY on Buzzjack!! Despite a mediocre sales peak compared to her first two smash singles, this song made number one on airplay and multichart, and topped the BOH40 for a single week in August. How many more times will we see her in here? You'll find out soon :cheer:
January 1, 201015 yr Author 6. David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over Charted: 31-05-09 Chart Run: 25-23-5-2-1-1-1-3-4-8-9-12-9-11-14-24-36 [17 wks] Sales Peak: #1 (1 week) Airplay Peak: #1 (1 week) Multichart Peak: #1 (2 weeks) xwHmvPPmMto One of the few songs in the top 10 that aren't by one of two artists :kink: this was on paper one of the most unexpected number ones of the year - a French DJ that could only get a top 10 hit before on the back of a car ad, and one of the less successful members of Destiny's Child - well, one that wasn't Beyonce! - but once hearing this song no-one could deny it was an absolute smash. A week each on top of sales and airplay and one week at top on Multichart somehow collaborated to give it three weeks at the top of this chart in June and July 2009.
January 1, 201015 yr Author 5. Beyonce - Halo Charted: 08-03-09 Chart Run: 31-14-6-2-2-3-3-3-8-8-8-8-12-16-19-25-29-xx-40-38 [19 wks] Sales Peak: #4 Airplay Peak: #1 (5 weeks) Multichart Peak: #2 dC06CMBQLM0 Speak of the devil :kink: While outpeaked on sales by If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies this was an insanely huge hit on airplay too, and the Tedder magic made sure it was a Multichart smash too. So who's going to be in the big top 4? Stand by and find out!
January 1, 201015 yr Author 4. Lily Allen - The Fear Charted: 2008 Chart Run: **-23-21-18-2-1-1-1-1-2-5-8-6-9-12-15-20-28-29-30 [19+ wks] Sales Peak: #1 (4 weeks) Airplay Peak: #1 (5 weeks) Multichart Peak: #1 (3 weeks) -V6Q6cBifSg Well this is unexpected! Despite four weeks at the top, this burnt out fairly quickly on sales, although it is fair to say that Lily had one of the biggest albums of the year. First charting in 2008 before the chart was calculated, the airplay and multichart success meant a triple whammy took this right up to the biggest hits of the year! So are you ready for the big top 3? Stand by!
January 1, 201015 yr Author 3. Lady GaGa - Just Dance Charted: 2008 Chart Run: **-4-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-6-11-11-8-11-18-18-18-19-26-23 [19+ wks] Sales Peak: #1 (3 weeks) Airplay Peak: #2 Multichart Peak: #2 2Abk1jAONjw You expected this to be number 2, right? Well on sales it managed to hold on, but the fact that it never made it to number 1 on airplay and surprisingly multichart, despite charting there way back in 2008, meant that it's just scraped into the top 3 here. So is this Gaga's last appearance in the chart? What do you think? :kink: The big two coming up :cheer:
January 1, 201015 yr Gonna be I Gotta Feeling and Poker Face surely? I'd expect IGF is #1 just based on massive sales and airplay and not bad on the multichart
January 1, 201015 yr Author 2. Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling Charted: 05-07-09 Chart Run: 36-18-8-3-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-5-6-7-10-11-13-13-13-15-22-21-27-24-28-31 [26 wks]* Sales Peak: #1 (2 weeks) Airplay Peak: #1 (4 weeks) Multichart Peak: #1 (3 weeks) 19rG2CHvCQY So no huge surprise here, BEPs get their third hit of the year here, with a David Guetta produced track that was huge across the world and across all three charts that we monitor here. Debatably the party anthem of the year, this track gained a massive six weeks at number one on the BOH40!

January 1, 201015 yr Poker Face  There wasn't really any point in running any 'best song of 2009' things this year because BuzzJack will put Poker Face or Bad Romance on top no matter what.
January 1, 201015 yr Author 1. Lady GaGa – Poker Face Charted: 18-01-09 Chart Run: 36-27-22-23-21-16-14-5-4-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-2-3-3-6-10-11-15-18-16-17-21-23-27-29 [31 wks] Sales Peak: #1 (3 weeks) Airplay Peak: #2 Multichart Peak: #1 (7 weeks) _de3C3Pkb8Q Could it really be anything else? 2009 was really Lady Gaga's year, and Buzzjack is crazy in love with her (witrh apologise to Beyonce). It's 7 weeks at number one on the multichart (the most this year) and spectacular sales meant that it gained 7 weeks at number one on the BOH40 chart.
