Mumford & Sons are also non-movers at No4 with ‘Sigh No More’ while Lady Gaga’s ‘The Fame’ drops three places to No5. In a quiet week for new releases this week’s highest new entry is awarded to Jonsi – better known as part of Sigur Ros – whose debut solo album ‘Go’ enters the Chart at No15 while Rufus Wainwright enters at No37 with his sixth studio album ‘All Days Are Nights: Songs For Lulu’. The Singles Chart sees no change at the top as Lady Gaga and Beyoncé hold firm with ‘Telephone’ and take a 3rd week at No1. Train’s ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ enters the Top 10 at No2 – up from last week’s No11 – while Timbaland’s ‘Carry Out’ (feat. Justin Timbalake) is one of the week’s highest climbers moving up to No3 from last week’s No19. Black Light Chart Track Commentary Mumford & Sons Need Sigh No More Having been a constant presence in the Album Chart since its release last October, Mumford & Sons’ debut album ‘Sigh No More’ finally climbs to the top of the Album Chart this week having been stuck on the No4 position for the last three weeks. Florence & the Machine, who have also been a permanent fixture in the Top 75 since their debut release last July, move up the chart this week as ‘Lungs’ climbs from No6 to No2. Leading a trio of new releases in the Top 20, MGMT take this week’s highest new entry with their second album ‘Congratulations’ which enters the chart at No5. –2008’s ‘Oracular Spectacular’ peaked at No5 four weeks after its physical release. Also both launching their second albums are Plan B who enter the Chart at No9 with ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’ - their 2006 debut ‘Who Needs Actions When You Got Words’ failed to chart – and Scouting For Girls who enter at No 11 with ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’ – a match for 2007’s self titled album which peaked at No11. Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s ’Telephone’ holds on to an extremely narrow lead this week to take a 4th week at No1 on the Singles Chart. Hot on their heels at No2, up from last week’s No11 is Usher Feat. Will.I.Am with ‘OMG’ while Train drop a place to No3 with ‘Hey, Soul Sister’. Scouting For Girls move up from last week’s No27 to No4 while Timblaland’s ‘Carry Out’ drops a place to No5. American actress and singer Selena Gomez makes her first ever appearance in the Irish Top 50 along with her band - The Scene – as ‘Naturally is this week’s highest new entry at No7. Shaky Fan's Commentary Volume 2 by She & Him is listed on the Irma website as climbing from 19 to 1 and being on it's 2nd week. April 16, 201015 yr Very dissapointed Usher didn't go to No.1 this week, well sick of Telephone now. Good to see Memories inside the top ten and Taio & Ke$ha up to No.15, they'll definately go top ten next week. Shocked utterly to see Florence in the top ten with DDAO considering how old it is, but it does deserve it, second best song on the album after the the amazing Cosmic Love (which I'm still upset never got a release :D). So who'll take No.1 next week, Diana or Usher? Or perhaps Glee? :o
