PHEW. SAVED IN BOTTOM 2 BY PUBLIC.

She's not gonna last long unfortunately. The public vote for people they know and she is probably the least well-known on there to a lot of people. It's a shame as she has so much talent.

Shame she was bottom 2 :( And she didnt get saved by the judges either, the idiots :lol: Still not quite understanding why she got critizised after listening to the recap but heck maybe im just a biased loon.

Glad she was saved.

 

It gives her chance to show what she can do next week.

 

I'm not into this type of music and therefore haven't a clue what to look for.

 

I think all 8 were brilliant considering it's new to them.

 

Just said on the Darius forum that I'm not keen on this thing.

 

To me, the judges and the presenters are a bad choice.

 

But now the singers have committed they will all learn new techniques which wont be a waste.

She was awfuuuul. She's got an epic voice and she can sing pop songs etc but I think she was definitely one of the worst, remembering it's an opera competition.

can't believe she was in the bottom 2 she was deffo one of the best there, hopefully she will at least last a couple more weeks!

Unfortunately I think it should be her and Jimmy in the bottom 2 this week as they were the worst 2 but Jimmy was dire so hopefully he goes.

She shouldn't have even taken part as I doubt it's done anything for The Sats profile. They knew the promo would be hectic so if she couldn't commit she shouldn't have agreed to take part. That VT did her no favours and her apologies came across very insincere. It's a shame because she is lovely but I think the VT made her look like a brat; having fun with the girls on Dancing On Ice and then missing rehearsal.

 

Oh well, at least I don't have to watch the show anymore. :D

It's a shame she left but she was one of the worst ones this week. At least she can get back to doing what she does best :)

All the songs sound exactly the same to me and it's clear who the judges favourites are.

Vanessa hasn't been liked from the start.

Ah well. Frankly I was starting to become ashamed she was even being associated with this show. She herself seemed bored and wondering why the hell she'd agreed to take part :lol:

Looking back over the performance re-caps and she was probabbly the worst tonight. You can hear her breath leaking out all over the performance. However, they gave her a rubbish and very short track to sing tonight. It lasted for how long, 20 seconds?

 

She looks so uncomtable up there and talking to Myleene and everyone, and when she was voted out she just practically stood there and only turned her head to talk to Myleene. I agree that the VT made her look like a brat, yet why wasn't she actually doing show related stuff on the monday? They showed bits of the 'Ego' performance but that was from the previous night. Odd? I wasn't aware that The Sats were doing promo on the Monday.

 

Also, the way they had that judge passing up and down in his room waiting for 'Ness was completely missleading. It was made to look like she just didn't show up, when she clearly did cancell it.

 

At least she can get back to what she's does bet now :)

It wouldn't surprise me if ITV had contacted Jayne about one of them doing and they put Vanessa forward because she has the best voice.

You can clearly see she's uncomfortable, I think they made her do it TBH.

I thought she was fantastic and much better than all of the guys and Kym. Marcella and Bernie were the only ones better than her IMO.

All the contestants have been invited back for the final of Popstar to Operastar this week. I'm hoping they'll do a group performance.

 

I really liked what I heard of Vanessa's voice. It had a very nice tone to it and was beautiful to listen to. I wish she'd stayed longer. So what if Vanessa's Mio Bambino Caro was a bit breathy - Bernie's been the same several times, without criticism. She got shafted by that VT, like Darius did last week, and didn't recover although Summertime was lovely.
