Posted July 4, 200620 yr For those who are wondering, Nicole Scherzinger is the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls forum and she is also working on solo material (dont say she isnt cause i've heard it <_< ) so we might as well just add her in here cause it is where she started from :D
July 4, 200620 yr Author You've heard her solo material? :o yup, her first song is called Steam, and it's much more RnB then the pussycat dolls
July 4, 200620 yr yup, her first song is called Steam, and it's much more RnB then the pussycat dolls OOOOOOOOO I so need to hear that :cheer:
July 4, 200620 yr Unless I'm mistaken, its actuallu unknown whether 'Steam' was recorded before or after she was part of PCD. Therefore we don't know if she's working on anything at the moment. Plus she's part of them for at least another album. So I wouldn't have thoguht she was working on anything at the moment.

Yeah, I watched this interview the other day where Nicole said she was the lead singer of the group cause she had more experience than all the others, since she's already recorded a couple of albums before being a PCD
July 5, 200620 yr I heard Melody was going to be the main singer, but they put Nicole up at the front due to experience and because Nicole is a professional dancer, which is something in the girls repetoire whereas Melody is mainly a singer with good dancing skills (if that sounds right?) so to show off what the group is about they put Nicole up front... I do have to say that Melody has a great voice, better than Nicoles but Nicole has a much mroe radio friendly and commercial sound...
July 5, 200620 yr I think on the next album will see them experiment with vocals and who gets them. Melody was the only one who was brought in from national auditions and I think she was the last piece to the group, they were obviously keen to get into the album so they probably recorded her vocals quickly and the label weren't sure whether to give her a major part. Melody's voice is far better than Nicole's imo and should deffo be given a bigger role as the other girls should. It would give them a couple of more inches of credabiltity.
July 6, 200620 yr Author Well we will have to wait and see :P Carmit DOES have a good voice btw :P She sings the second verse on Tainted Love and her voice is quite powerfull to
July 6, 200620 yr I think they should leave things where they are tbh and stop at 4 singles. Bar Wait A Minute there's nothing they can release in the US (obviously their prime audience who they want to appeal to most of all) as it will just sink on radio there. Bite The Dust could work at a push MABYE.
July 6, 200620 yr Author They need something more like, edgy. Flirt for example, or like you said, Bite The Dust
July 6, 200620 yr Well 'Firt' isn't going to happen for obvious reasons. I'd like 'Bite The Dust' most actually, it would actually get airplay both here and abroad and would be a final boost to album sales. I have a feeling that they're going to stop at 4 though :(
July 6, 200620 yr Author I hope they dont, buttons is a good song but it's not the best way to end the album. How much has the album now sold worldwide?
July 6, 200620 yr 3.6 Million worldwide 1.7 million in the US 860k here They SHOULD go 3x platinum here, which for a 'pop/R&B' group is mighty impressive :o
