January 6, 201016 yr Author why are they still supporting You Me At Six? Its obvious they arent gonna go anywhere by now. Private on the other hand should've been there this week
January 6, 201016 yr B-List Owl City - Fireflies Owl City will probably be promoted in the A-List within the next fortnight.
January 6, 201016 yr Girls Can't Catch A-List :D And I take it N-Dubz ft Mr Hudson is supposed to be 'Playing with Fire'?
January 6, 201016 yr ugh i havent even heard girls cant catch but am gutted its alisted!! good to see them giving temper trap and simian mobile disco another chance on the blist and wiley on the alist even though they didnt do overly well in the top 40!! funny how they are supporting nutini on his 4th single!!
January 6, 201016 yr Radio 1 website has "Starry Eyed" as d/l 21/12. Hopefully, that should be d/l out now, otherwise we have a long wait if it means December 2010 :kink: Timbaland Ft. Katy Perry - If We Ever Meet Again
January 6, 201016 yr why are they still supporting You Me At Six? Its obvious they arent gonna go anywhere by now. Private on the other hand should've been there this week It's off their new album!! Lead single. So pleased it's been added as they've done a weird thing with releasing the single after the album has been released. Pleased for Ellie as well, but i'm sure everyone could see it a mile off...
January 6, 201016 yr funny how they are supporting nutini on his 4th single!! I do wonder about things like this when it comes to the Radio 1 playlist. If they A-List the lead single, does that mean they automatically A-List all follow up singles regardless of where they chart? Last year they A-Listed Snow Patrol 'If There's A Rocket Tie Me To It' and that didn't even make the top 75 - it just so happens they A-Listed 'Take Back The City' and 'Crack The Shutters' - the previous two singles.
January 6, 201016 yr Erik Hassle is my favourite addition - great to see he's getting Radio 1 support but what is this Starsmith edit? hopefully it doesn't take anything away from the song
January 6, 201016 yr i think radio 1 alist some singles (2.3.4th choices) if the album goes top 5 or no1 to give it continued support - also its snowpatrol so clearly theyll play it loads lol!!
January 6, 201016 yr i think radio 1 alist some singles (2.3.4th choices) if the album goes top 5 or no1 to give it continued support - also its snowpatrol so clearly theyll play it loads lol!! ...but the same thing happened with The Pigeon Detectives. The Radio 1 producer himself even admitted they were his fave new group from 2007 and as such every one of their singles was A-Listed. None of them made top 10 but I don't know how well their album performed in the charts. Another example is Razorlight (the 'Razorlight' album era 2006) and despite the first two singles going top 3, Radio 1 also A-listed the follow up singles which had nowhere near as much chart success.
January 6, 201016 yr As far as I can recall, Candy and Coming Up Easy only made the C List, Pencil Full Of Lead was only bumped to B after it made the top 40 and it never made A List and 10/10 is the first SSU era Paolo single to go to the A List. Strange, as I fully doubt it'll even make the top 40. Maybe top 75. Edited January 6, 201016 yr by BrayFish

If they A-List the lead single, does that mean they automatically A-List all follow up singles regardless of where they chart? I think they certainly do this normally if they A-Listed the previous single and it did well. They A-Listed "No Substitute Love" by Estelle, after "American Boy", but only C-Listed her next single after it flopped. It doesn't always happen though, I think they A-Listed Ciara's "Love Sex Magic", which was a top 5 hit and then they completely ignored "Work". :/ Erik Hassle is my favourite addition - great to see he's getting Radio 1 support but what is this Starsmith edit? hopefully it doesn't take anything away from the song  I haven't heard it, but it probably will. They did "Starry Eyed" with Ellie Goulding, and her version of Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead", which were fine, but they tend to add a more dancy sound to their remixes. (state the obvious Aaron)

They also totally ignored Kelly Clarkson's post-My Life singles (IDNHU, AG) and Taylor Swift's post-Love Story singles (TOMG, YBWM, 15) after they were top 2. I *think* they ignored IDNHU anyway...
