January 6, 201016 yr I haven't heard it, but it probably will. They did "Starry Eyed" with Ellie Goulding, and her version of Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead", which were fine, but they tend to add a more dancy sound to their remixes. (state the obvious Aaron) :( maybe it's just another La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream Let's Get Ravey)/Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Ed Case remix) case where Radio 1 playlist or at least regularly play a remix but the original is remembered just as fondly through play on commercial radio/TV music video channels
January 6, 201016 yr They didn't ignore 'I Do Not Hook Up', though they ignored 'Already Gone' because the former flopped so bad.
January 6, 201016 yr Good to se GCC are A-Listed and The Sats still there :) Rather suprised they're still supporting Erik Hassle though....
January 6, 201016 yr Radio 1 website has "Starry Eyed" as d/l 21/12. Hopefully, that should be d/l out now, otherwise we have a long wait if it means December 2010 :kink: It should be 21/2 not 21/12
January 6, 201016 yr Author It's off their new album!! Lead single. For me it doesnt matter really. So many artists get a hit and once they have a flop-ish song they cease to support them, others are supported always no matter what.
January 6, 201016 yr Author I do wonder about things like this when it comes to the Radio 1 playlist. If they A-List the lead single, does that mean they automatically A-List all follow up singles regardless of where they chart? If its a big artist, like Sugababes, Kylie, etc, you're bound to have every single A-listed. However, the 4th single isnt always guaranteed to make the A-list, the B-list is though. Indie artists almost always make the A-list with their singles if their first one was A-listed, mark that as Radio 1 bias. Other artists, no they aren't guaranteed, like Agnes for example.
January 6, 201016 yr It should be 21/2 not 21/12 Oh, thanks for clearing that up :) Take it no one ever proof reads the play-list before they publish it
January 6, 201016 yr For me it doesnt matter really. So many artists get a hit and once they have a flop-ish song they cease to support them, others are supported always no matter what. They were never supported by Radio 1 until they released Finders Keepers really. The thing is they're gradually getting bigger and bigger due to more Radio support. It doesn't always mean more sales, but they're selling out bigger and bigger venues.
January 6, 201016 yr why are they still supporting You Me At Six? Its obvious they arent gonna go anywhere by now. Private on the other hand should've been there this week Aren't they? Is this the same You Me At Six who seem VERY popular with young teenagers and are selling out decent sized venues?
January 6, 201016 yr Author Since when do Radio 1 take venues into consideration when deciding the playlist? They'd be adding all the cheesy AATW/Hard2Beat acts if that were the case. They've yet to have a hit single, which is what they decide when adding songs, moving them up and out. Anyway, moving on.
