It's being used in an advert for something which I forget, it's also gonna get a new peak in the UK again this week. It's really impressive for a song that was never a single...

Most likely down to the 'Daybreakers' trailer on TV at the moment:

It's up to #45 on UK iTunes too. Hopefully it'll get a new peak here too, would be brilliant if it made the top 40!

This is the track that introduced me to Placebo (when it was played on the OC ). Such a beautiful and haunting cover, one of amy all-time favourite songs now!

Great to see that they will chart again in the UK and lets hope they can manage top 40, it might give some album sales a boost aswell all going well.

Yep! If this does get some people introduced to the band then that's all good, they're ridiculously underrated.

I'm not so fond of the studio version of this cover, when performed live it truly comes to life.

Yes the live version os far superior but like many bands they always sound far better live. It would be great if this does introduce new people to band as i completly agree they are far to under rated and always have been which is a huge shame.

That's very unlikely, as it's dropped a lot on iTunes - not even top 100 now I don't think.

Shame. :(

At least it got a new peak and extra sales though!

I remember first hearing 'Every You Every Me' almost a decade ago when I watched 'Cruel Intentions'. At the time it was mine and my friend's favourite movie and song, I brought the soundtrack and I had that song on repeat. And now a decade later 'Daybreakers' has introduced me to 'Running Up That Hill', which is now my and my same friend's favourite film and song. I brought the single on iTunes and now have it practiacally on repeat and have done so for three weeks running  I've only ever brought and listened to two of their songs because of the films I watch - shows the power of the movies I guess.

You must check out more of their stuff, certainly. :P Start with 'Pure Morning', that's the one that got me into them.

Will do :D if it is anything like 'Every You Every Me' and 'Running Up That Hill' I will be bound to love it.

Also, if you have the time, take a listen to this. While it's less subtle than RUTH, I still get the same epic-vibe, especially the intro.

EDIT: Just listened to Pure Morning, I had to download it straight away, it's stunning :o Why it's taken me this long to be bothered to explore this band is beyond me.

Sadly its not top 75 this week in the UK but on a brighter note is #45 in Ireland in this week down 9 places.

Didn't know it was doing this well in Ireland, well at least the Irish are appreciating this great song. It's also topped my personal chart after three weeks, the first time a song has climbed to the top spot. I can't get enough of it at the moment.
