Well, it looks like Alex fans made a bigger deal than it was worth. Anyway, hate it when Alex fans post things "she's got a massive promo coming up...". Being in SYTYD doesn't guarantee success, as it's not a highly watched programme like X Factor. And her being in GMT on 19/01 won't have any bigger impact as everyone is at work apart from pensioners who are not going to buy her single. Her single is out next week and I wish her all the best, however the record company is not bothered about its peak. They want Overcome to sell more. It doesn't seem to be doing well at all at the moment.

Good point i guess. I thought SYTYCD would have some sort of impact on the song. Anyway, i won't lose any sleep over the peak cos it's all about sales and i'm sure it will sell a substantial amount. It's obvious ballads make more impact on the album sales than up-tempos so i don't expect Overcome to rapidly climb. However it's already climbed a bit i think in the mids. I'm sure that if/when The Silence is released, Overcome would have the potential to go top 5 again. TS is definitely the gem on the album.

It got 5.5 million last night, it's dropping rapidly :( however, the people who watch it are likely to be in the 10-25 category and very likely to download singles.

Another thing is that fans don't seem to be able to grasp the concept that there's no such thing as an official release date anymore.

The problem with Broken Heels is that it is not appealing enough for say the 17-25 age range as it is just too cheesy.

 

Also the album has sold 500k so was Broken Heels ever destined to be that big when it is a mediocre song?

 

I still think The Silence is going to be a huge hit which will push the album to 700k.

I think it got up to around #21 possibly even 19 at it's top peak,however it started to fall pretty quickly towards the end of the week.
