Posted July 5, 200619 yr OK, so I've just got back from Spain now. I went to the concert on the 28th - and it was amazing! Me and my friend, Sophie, got the arena at about 3pm and there was about 70 people or so already there all sat down in the baking sun (got a proper T shirt tan that day). Luckily we saw some other fans that we had met at 5 Star and they let us push in right at the front of the queue. No one really minded because everyone was moving round swapping places etc. A bit later in the day the band started doing sound check and we could hear them outside and everyone was singing along. At about 6pm everyone started to get anxious because the guards started getting in position and there were camera guys and all sorts. They let us in at about 8 o'clock though and it was a mad rush - someone said it was like the running of the bulls. Anyway - ended up getting a prime spot - front centre!!! Shakira didn't start till about 9 45 or something like that - the support band were pretty boring. She started with Estoy Aqui like in Rock In Rio and from then on it was great. I'll just give a run down of all the songs now, (not sure if this is necesarily in the right order); Estoy Aquà - great opener - everyone was dancing and singing along - it had such a feel good vibe to it. Te dejo Madrid - just another crazy song to get everyone going - really enjoyed this song. Shakira proper went all out on doing the robotics for this one - but it was great! Don't Bother - it was the same version as Rock In Rio but she had the pink guitar with her. Very cool performance and good to mosh along to. Antologia - never seen what all the fuss about this song is but after the performance it makes you realise! Gorgeous accoustic performance - really good - I've had to put it on my playlist for a bit since I never used to listen to it that much. Hey You - Again, same as Rock In Rio but with some mad dancing! She did this one move where she was rubbing her bum up and down the mic stand and then just whacked it over with her arse - crazy :D Inevitable - Good performance - nothing more to say really - you could watch L&OTR for exactly the same one. Still great to watch live though. Sà Te Vas - Great song as always - I love this song so much and the live version is great with the drum solo and everything. Obtener Un Sà - Yawn....No...only joking...I do like this song but I would have rather seen HDYD or Animal City or even Your Embrace. La Tortura - Came to early in the show IMO - sounded great though - the bass was really heavy and the atmosphere was great. It was a shame Alejandro Sanz wasn't there because he appeared in the Madrid concerts and I think in the Pamplona one. No - this was so funny - someone had chucked a teddy on the stage so when Shakira came down in the red dress and saw the teddy she had to kick it out of the way so her train wouldn't get caught in it.. She was trying to be all subtle and keep the air of mystery as she slinked down but her leg was there kicking at this penguin. Then she messed up the words in the first chorus - but it was cute more than anything. When it finally got to revealing what the dress did - everything went smoothly. I dunno if you've seen the videos but I'll upload one later because it's easier than explaining. Suerte - The dance at the beginning was done with a rope! To stop any confusion that it was a snake etc :D Great performance - pretty much the same as Rock In Rio after she had done the rope dance. La Pared - Piano version was nice but I woulda preferred the electro version. The crowd tried to sing along with the big shouty bit at the end and it sounded awful  Pies Descalzos - Love this performance so much - the crowd went mad - it's such a fun song and such a fun performance, great to sing along to and there's so much energy - one of the best of the night! Dia De Enero - Was surprised at how good this was! It had like a power ballad feel to it when it was done live and like I said, I was surprised at how impressive it was. One of the best performances of the night IMO. Ciega Sordomuda - originally I was surprised she was still performing this but when you hear it live you understand why. Same as Pies Descalzos really - really fun and vibrant song and everyone loved it knowing all the words and singing along. Ojos Asà - BEST PERFORMANCE OF OJOS ASI EVER! At the beginning she does a dance with a pink sheet which is just the best bellydance she has ever done. Absolutel mesmerizing. There's also this shadow of her but it's so brilliant because the shadow is doing different to what she's doing. At the end of the dance as Ojos Asi kicks in she throws the sheet in the air and the shadow behind splits into all these snakes - gave me goosebumps it was that good! As for Ojos Asi - another spot on performance - the instruments sounded great and it had a lot more energy than TOTM. Hips Don't Lie - great finale. Like La Tortura, the bass was really heavy - sounded almost like Shaketon HDL :D It was just crazy - brilliant end to a brilliant show! I've got some pics and videos to upload but I'll do that later.
July 5, 200619 yr it sounds amazing!! and all those spanish songs too I hope we get many of them for the english speaking countries part of the tour, maybe she will drop TDM, OUS, LP, DDE and replace them with UYC (definate), Animal City (I hope), Illegal (if its the new single) Timor (now it becomes a dream)
July 15, 200619 yr wow it sounds so amazing, i hope the tracklisting is like that when she comes to the UK, though maybe with antologia and OUS replaced with HDYD & No Creo!
July 17, 200619 yr Yeah - should be the same as the US one in which I'm expecting her to replace OF1 album tracks with OF2!
